13 Reasons Why Living In The West Coast Is Freakin' Awesome
In n Out

We all know the U.S has some pretty cool places to visit. From the big state of Texas to the beaches of Florida, but nothing quite adds up to the lifestyle of the West Coasters. We are like a completely different breed and we're proud of it!

1. First Things First-BEACHES

You knew it was coming and for good reason! Nothing beats a day on the beach and going to the boardwalk after. Getting that nice tan glow never came easier than living on the West side.

2. Wino’s Welcome

California is home to the best wineries in the U.S. They offer wine tastings, wine trains, winery weddings and everything wine.

3.One Word-Burritos

If you want an authentic burrito the actual size of a small child, the west coast is the place to be. Do you like French fries in your burritos? Well you have found the right place to start.

4.The Weather is Literally Perfect

Winter is nothing on this side. Yes, Washington and Oregon get colder than California, but would you rather be in a Michigan winter? Yeah... No thanks! Tanning in February doesn’t seem so far fetched on our side.

5. In-N-Out

Arguably the best burger joint in the world. Actually no, not arguably. DEFINITELY. Every west coast local knows In-N-Out is good for just about any time of day, any occasion, any time of year. Oh by the way, if you don’t get animal style fries what are you even doing with your life?!

6. We Birth the Best Rappers Damn Near

Andre Nickatina, E-40, Ice cube, NWA, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Dre, Sir Mix a Lot, Snoop Dogg, Tupac and Tyga just to name a few of the most well known rappers of all time. The music and vibe on the west coast is LEGIT.

7. Surfs up!

Trying to catch some waves? Or even better, trying to catch the attractive people catching the waves? It’s our favorite pastime.

8. Terrain central

You want a beach, desert, mountain, forrest or snow? Well all you have to do is pack up the car and drive a couple hours. You have access to any type of terrain on the west side and trust me we take full advantage of that.

9. Sports? We got that on lock

From the Seattle Seahawks being Superbowl champs in 2014, to the San Francisco Giants miraculously winning a World Series every even year starting in 2010, and better yet the Golden State Warriors winning an NBA Finals for the first time since 1975. The West coast is home to some of the best sport organizations in the country. Not only professional sports, but also college sports. The Pac-12 is one heck of a show stopping conference.

10. Celebrities EVERYWHERE

Just take a stroll in Calabasas and you are likely to run into a couple celebs. Take a walk in the Bay Area and you might run into Steph Curry and the fam. Not to mention Hollywood which is home to all kinds of actors, actresses, models and athletes.

11. We are home to some of the best hiking views known in this country

From Yosemite National Park in California, to Dry Creek Falls in Oregon, the hikes can take you to some of the most breathtaking views you have ever seen.

12. Food/drinks in general

You know that Starbucks on the corner of your street? Yeah well that started in Seattle. And taco trucks are nothing if they aren’t from Southern California. If you have ever had seafood on this side you will also understand the freshness that comes with it. After all, sea food is the best when you're right next to the sea.

13. Coachella OMG

Home to one of the most popular music festivals ever located in the deserts of Los Angeles. Here is where you will find the most chill and laid back people ever. This is where your inner most hippie vibes come out.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
