When I first started watching "Thirteen Reasons Why," I was in shock at how morbidly real it portrays high school. So if you have not seen it, I strongly suggest you do. It first aired on Netflix March, 31st 2017 and it is based on a book that came out in 2007 written by Jay Asher. In both the show and book Hannah Baker, a junior in high school commits suicide and leaves thirteen tapes behind, each giving a part of the story about why she killed herself. There are thirteen people responsible for Hannah's death and each of those people has a tape and each one of them are given the box of tapes to listen too. Through the tapes, issues about bigger problems arise like rape, depression, suicide, bullying, homophobia, underage drinking, and drug abuse. So sit back, relax and enjoy reading the thirteen reasons why you need to watch "Thirteen Reasons Why".
