13 Reasons Why Spongebob Would Make The Ultimate Best Friend

We all know and love that bright yellow sponge who lives in a pineapple under the sea. I never thought I would be saying this, but I'm actually jealous of Patrick Star. Yes, I know it's strange to be jealous of a fictional character, but think about it -- Patrick has SpongeBob SquarePants as a best friend. Why would SpongeBob make the ultimate best friend you might ask? Well --

1. He is always down for an ice cream night.

2. He makes the ultimate dance partner.

3. Need a gym buddy?

4. There will never be a dull moment so long as you use your --

5. He is always available to take your calls

6. Or help you with your biology homework

7. Hungry? He just so happens to be the best fry cook around

8. And when it comes to entertainment, he doesn't need much to have a great time

9. But on the other hand, he sure knows how to throw a killer party

10. He will be there for you whenever and for whatever

11. And when you're sad, he is too

12. But he is also ambitious, so prepare yourself for some crazy adventures

13. Literally

Although SpongeBob is a fictional character, he does posses a lot of desirable qualities that I believe are important to look for in your friends. Just because you can't have SpongeBob as your real best friend, doesn't mean you can't look for your own real world SpongeBob.

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
