I live on the Gulf of Florida where the sun shines almost every day and the feeling of vacation is always in the air. I can't help but notice that living in warmer weather has a ton of benefits that have to be shared and talked about. The salty breeze, blazing sun, and palm trees are not the only great perks. Read below to soak it all in.

1. When the sun is shining everyone is happy.

It is so refreshing to have the sun shining six out of seven days of the week and having people generally enjoy spending time outside, even in January. People wave to others more, and even smile more. The weather actually improves people's experience of life.

2. Tanning is always a possibility.

What is better than rocking a constant golden toned body? Nothing. Well, maybe cake.

3. Dolphins

I don't know how many times I have seen dolphins this winter but I can guarantee it is a lot more than if I was living in Connecticut.

4. Summer clothes > winter clothes

Shorts and tanks can be a lot cuter than a frumpy poncho and sweats, let's be real here.

5. The pressure to keep in shape never goes away.

When winter hits, people use it as an excuse to pack on the pounds. When it's winter in 85 degree weather, people are still rocking bikinis so the pressure is still on.

6. Staying healthier

Without the winter chill to cause stuffy noses and sore throats, you can save pressure days of the year being snot free.

7. All your friends are really jealous.

The sass is real when it comes to your friends texting you about how they hate how you are tanning while they are shoveling snow. But hey, now they have a great place to come visit, right?

8. You never feel like you are living a normal life.

Every day feels like vacation, and that feeling never really goes away. Enjoy it, embrace it.

9. The picture opportunities

Pink sunsets, golden sand, exotic animals; they all make great Instagram feed material! Enjoy the extra likes.

10. Ordering online

When a store sells all its summer clothes 80 percent off because it's winter, you get the biggest deal of the century. While people are hunting for sweaters and boots, you are rocking that tank and flip flop style.

11. Stress free

Life is easier when you can take a study break on the beach.

12. Seasonal depression disappears.

When the seasons don't change, people with seasonal depression don't suffer. It's an easy and practical solution.

13. When it rains, it's warm calming rain.

After days lounging around in the sun, it is nice to cuddle up inside while the rain is pitter patting against the windows. You can really get some personal time to just sit with your thoughts and be relaxed.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
