Netflix has a lineup of unique and exciting series to watch. From "The Crown" to "Stranger Things," there is something for everyone. This past Friday the 13th, Netflix released another hit that is as captivating and imaginative as its previous endeavors: "A Series of Unfortunate Events." Here are 13 reasons to binge watch as soon as possible.

1. The popularity of the books

The storyline of the books seamlessly weaves itself to a story fit for television.

2. The title sequence

"Look Away!" The first words that are heard in the theme song. Which contradicts the usual rules to captivate your audience and yet it succeeds!

3. Lemony Snicket

The first person the audience is introduced to happens to be the author. This scene brilliantly introduces the story like it's acting to the first two rows of a stage play.

4. Neil Patrick Harris

What can I say? This award-winning actor plays the role of Count Olaf effortlessly.

5. The Baudelaire children are adorable

These kids were cast perfectly.

6. The style

This series practically screams "Moonrise Kingdom." From the line delivery to the symmetrical shots, this show has that vibe.

7. The cinematography

Every camera angle, every lighting choice, just all of it. It's pleasing to the eye and keeps the viewer watching.

8. The comedic relief

The humor is definitely dry. But who says that's a bad thing?

9. MUSICAL NUMBERS

With Neil Patrick Harris as the lead and executive producer, this Tony Award winner saw the opportunity and took it.

10. Costumes

Every style choice was made with the purpose of expressing the character and the mood. It's executed beautifully and brilliantly.

11. The script

The script is amazing. Somehow, it remains simplistic with a slight elegance laced through it.

12. Twisting highlights

Overall, this show has a way of taking you right to the edge of a dark and often strange emotion but before you can take the fall, it pulls you back. This is an excellent way of keeping the viewer on the edge of their seat.

13. It's fun

What better way to start off the New Year than binge watching something creative, compelling, and new?

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
