We all know Disney Channel Original Movies are some of the best movies to exist. Here's the ranking of the best and most yearly anticipated DCOM Halloween Movies.
13. Tower of Terror
While it’s not actually a DCOM, its too good to not include on this list. This movie is based off of every thrill speaker’s favorite Disney ride and definitely lives up to the hype. The movie has it all, mystery, ghosts, curses, this movie had us sleeping with the lights on and avoiding hotels and elevators for moths after October.
12. The Little Vampire
This is another non DCOM and wasn't even made for tv but it was constantly on during the month of October. It was hard not to fall in love with little Jonathan Lipnicki playing the lead and with the movie taking place in Scotland.11. Return To Halloweentown
While the Halloweentown franchise was one of the most successful and includes the movies we look forward to watching the most, this is easily the least favorite of the four movies. Besides the fact that Kimberly J. Brown was recast in the final installment, it just doesn't live up to the rest of the movies.
10. Twitches Too
Kind of like Halloweentown, the second installment of Twitches just wasn't as good. The movies focuses on the sisters learning to use their powers, and there’s nothing totally exciting or scary about this movie at all.
9. Phantom Of The Megaplex
It seems like this movie is constantly overlooked and forgotten about, but its actually really good, in a cheesy type of way. While its not very scary, the mystery makes up for it. And being loosely based off of a hit Broadway musical really helps.
8. Halloweentown High
Another installment of the Halloweentown franchise. Probably could have been higher up on the list if it had actually taken place in Halloweentown. The real world is vastly overrated. But like its cool that the two worlds can come together at the end.
7. Now You See It...
While this may not be a halloween movie, all the magic involved makes it perfect for the month of October. We cheered for poor, misunderstood Danny, a wanted to be Alyson Michalka. The movie definitely had us on the edge of our beds waiting to see what was going to happen.
6. Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge
Almost as good as the original, but still not the original. But lets be honest, the stakes were high in this one and our young interests were peaked. The state of Halloween town was in marines hands. Thats a lot of pressure for a teenager.
5. Don't Look Under The Bed
This movie was actually amazing, and scary. Amazingly scary. If you weren't afraid of the Boogie man after watching this, props to you. I think what makes this movie so good is that it was made for Disney Channel. Who knew that Disney could make such a dark and terrifying movie for kids.4. Moms Got A Date With A Vampire
Im not exactly sure what made this movie so amazing, but I know we all checked the movie line-up to know exactly when this would be on so we wouldn't miss it. This movie was funny. The kids wanted to get out of being grounded so badly they set their mom up on a date that may potentially kill her. But at least they’d never be grounded again, right?
3. Twitches
Everyone loved watching our favorite set of twins basically revamp their tv show only in the form of a movie, and with magical powers. The darkness wasn't that scary, and the movie wasn't necessarily that funny, but how can you not love a movie with the Mowry twins. It became a DCOM classic.
2. Hocus Pocus
Hocus Pocus is an absolute Halloween classic. And although it was aired often of Disney Channel, it was not a DCOM, but it definitely became a cult classic. But none the less, the Sanderson sisters take a top place in our hearts and a top spot on our list. Is it really halloween if you haven't sung “I Put A Spell On You”?1. Halloweentown
Of curse this is number one on the list. The first installment of this amazing franchise. Where we fell in love with Marnie, her grandma, Halloweentown and Halloween DCOMS. This movie included absolutely everything you need for a successful halloween movie.
