The semester is coming to a close, the mountain of work is looming ever higher and finals are rapidly approaching. So what should you do? If you thought I was going to say study, you don't know me very well. If you thought I was going to say binge-watch some Netflix, let's be friends. Here are thirteen of the best shows on Netflix. Enjoy.

1. "The Office" (U.S.)

Premise: A documentary crew films the day-to-day lives of the employees at Dunder-Mifflin, a small paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Hilarity ensues.

Genre: Comedy

2. "NCIS"

Premise: NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) agents investigate everything from murder to terrorism in Washington, D.C.

Genre: Crime, Drama

3. "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"

Premise: After years of being held captive in an underground bunker, a woman is rescued and decides to start over in New York City.

Genre: Comedy

4. "Jane the Virgin"

Premise: A young woman saving herself for marriage is accidentally artificially inseminated after a mix-up at the OBGYN's office.

Genre: Comedy, Drama

5. "Friends"

Premise: Six friends living in New York City conquer countless daily challenges armed with a healthy dose of sarcasm and wit.

Genre: Comedy

6. "Leverage"

Premise: A former insurance agent teams up with a group of thieves and takes on corrupt corporations in a Robin Hood-esque drama.

Genre: Crime, Thriller

7. "Scandal"

Premise: Olivia Pope is the ultimate D.C. fixer, except when it comes to her own life. Pope, who spends her days solving the problems of prominent political figures, is also having an affair with POTUS himself.

Genre: Drama

8. "Reign"

Premise: Based on the life of Mary, Queen of Scots, this period drama has everything you'd expect from the insanity of the French court. Megan Follows absolutely slays as the conniving Queen Catherine. It's a must watch for anyone who loves medieval history, completely anachronistic music and beautiful costumes.

Genre: Historical Drama

9. "Gilmore Girls"

Premise: Lorelai and Rory Gilmore are the coffee addicted, pop culture referencing, eternally sarcastic and completely lovable mother-daughter pair that you wish you could be best friends with. Set in the too adorable for its own good small town in Connecticut, there isn't a single character that you won't fall in love with (except maybe April, but no one likes her).

Genre: Brilliance

10. "Psych"

Premise: Shawn Spencer, son of the former Santa Barbara police chief, convinces the entire police department that he has psychic powers by using his unusually perceptive nature to pick up on clues that others have missed.

Genre: Comedy, Crime

11. "Scrubs"

Premise: A group of medical interns enters the world of hospitals and patients, hoping to achieve their dreams of becoming doctors and surgeons. Proceed to get a little crushed.

Genre: Comedy

12. "Bob's Burgers"

Premise: Bob is just a normal guy, trying to run his burger joint with his family's assistance. Unfortunately, his family isn't so normal.

Genre: Comedy

13. "White Collar"

Premise: Neal Caffrey, a prominent white-collar criminal, teams up with FBI agent Peter Burke to help solve white collar crimes. The fact that Peter is the agent who caught Neal causes no tension at all. Also, Matt Bomer is a beautiful human.

Genre: Crime, Drama

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
