Living in the Milwaukee area means you have a lot of activities to look forward to during our beautiful summer months.

From Bradford Beach to the beautiful Third Ward with the Milwaukee Public Market, one of the most popular summertime options in MKE is Summerfest. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Summerfest draws in over 800,000 people each year and continues to grow. Known as the Worlds Largest Music Festival, it is one of the biggest highlights of the Milwaukee summer agenda.

One of the major draws of The Big Gig is that it has a show for everyone so I have made a list of some of the top 13 shows you must see this summer at Summerfest 2017:

1. The Chainsmokers - July 4th 7:30 pm - Amphitheater

The Chainsmokers blew up overnight and very quickly their songs hit the top of the charts in countries all over the world. As much as some of us may not want to admit it, we all probably know every word to this song since it was played on the radio so much!

2. Zac Brown Band - July 1st, 7:30 pm - Amphitheater

A personal favorite in my family, Zac Brown Band has made an appearance at Summerfest 4 of the last 6 summers, each and every time they put on a fantastic show! I highly recommend seeing them if you want to splurge on amphitheater tickets!

3. Pink - July 2nd, 7:30 pm - Amphitheater

Pink has been around the music scene for years but constantly surprises us with her music. I have been told that she puts on one of the best shows ever!

4. Alessia Cara - July 4th, 10 pm - Miller Lite Oasis

Alessia Cara broke out into the music scene with her honest songs and has continued to create music that people can relate to.

5. DNCE - July 8th, 10:15 pm - Miller Lite Oasis

Your childhood memories can come alive when you see Joe Jonas (minus his two brothers) perform. Opening last summer for Selena Gomez, this will be their second time at Summerfest and I highly recommend seeing them!

6. Shinedown - July 1st, 10 pm - Harley Davidson Roadhouse

Shinedown has been around for years and is constantly showing fans what they can do. A must see for sure!

7. Steve Aoki - June 29th, 10 pm - Miller Lite Oasis

This DJ is known for "caking" people at every one of his shows. This show is one you can't miss, maybe you'll get some cake!

8. Andy Grammer - July 2nd, 10:00 pm - Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard

Andy Grammar returns to Summerfest to put on another amazing show! I got to opportunity to see him perform a couple years ago and I highly recommend his show, he puts on a fantastic performance!

9. Bleachers - July 1st, 10:15 pm - Miller Lite Oasis

A pop band with a flair! A can't miss show!

10. REO Speedwagon - July 6th, 9:45 pm - BMO Harris Pavilion

A classic, plain and simple.

11. House of Pain - June 30th, 9:45 pm - BMO Harris Pavilion

This is Wisconsin, if you're doing "Jump Around" are you even a Badger? House of Pain brings their hip hop style to MKE where we love to jump around!

12. Hey Violet - July 1st, 8 pm - US Cellular

Opening for 5 Seconds of Summer on both their Rock Out With Your Socks Out, and Sounds Live, Feels Live tours. Hey Violet is no stranger to the spotlight, and will for sure deliver an amazing performance!

13. William Michael Morgan - July 6th, 9:30 pm - US Cellular

American country music star William Michael Morgan has been a part of the music scene since 2009, and with hits like "I Met A Girl" and "Missing", he is a can't miss for country music fans.

Summerfest is constantly upping their game, with music for everyone, it is never an issue finding an artist you will enjoy. The only real issue is deciding which shows you want to see!! Creating your schedule for the upcoming semester can be an exciting process. You have the control to decide if you want to have class two-days a week or five-days a week. You get to check things off of your requirement checklist. It's an opportunity for a fresh start with new classes (which you tell yourself you'll never skip.) This process, which always starts out so optimistic, can get frustrating really quickly. Here are 25 thoughts you have when registering for classes.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

In the 12 years since it went off the air, "Friends" continues to be adored by millions. 11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
