13 Moments Of Going Out, As Told By Dory

Guys, we can't go to the bars until I have my exit buddy.

13 Moments Of Going Out, As Told By Dory

Going out can be a lot of fun if you're really into it. You have your friends, the right outfit and you're totally in the zone. Not to mention you have enough alcohol to even make a grown man cringe. You really can't imagine how anything could possibly go wrong.

Then, as your evening goes on, you remember how socially awkward you tend to be. Just like Dory from "Finding Nemo," sometimes you do things that are a bit odd....and people notice. No one knows what you're going to do next, but you know they are going to be around to watch.

It's okay though, because you know your friends will always accept you in all of your awkwardness and that's all that really matters. No matter how many times they witness you uncomfortably saying "it was nice to meet you" while shaking a guy's hand after making out.

Hey, with friends like these, who needs anemones?

1. So the night starts off with you being a bit forceful when asking your friends if they want to go out with you.

2. And even though they said yes just to get you to shut up, you're still like,

3. Then they ask you the game plan for the night and you realize you haven't even thought that far ahead yet.

4. But once you start to pregame, you decide to just wing it.

5. Then a cute guy walks up to introduce himself and you respond with complete word vomit.

5. Next thing you know you spot your evil ex-roommate and you really gotta get out of there.

6. Luckily, you mastered the art of maneuvering around a crowded room.

7. But before you leave to go somewhere else, you make sure you have you exit buddy safely by your side (willingly or not).

8. When you walk into the next party, you confidently start singing the song that's playing....when the music stops.

9. As the night goes on, no one is really surprised that you've somehow injured yourself.

10. But when you fall trying to climb a table to dance on, your friends are just like,

11. Next, they tell you it's time to go home and you don't understand how anyone could be that cruel.

12. But then one of them offers to buy pizza and you just can't stop yourself from jumping with joy.

13. Finally, the next morning when your friends try to reminiscence on all the stupid stuff you did the night before, you find a way to play it cool.

Make sure to check out the first teaser trailer for Finding Dory here. We have to wait until June 2016 for it to come out and if that doesn't make you want to take a bottle to the face, I question your sanity. It's not like we've already waited 12 years or anything.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?

1. People assume you are mad all of the time.

2. Ten out of ten times you will give off an intimidating impression to others.

3. People do not acknowledge your feelings because you "do not have any."

4. Constantly being exhausted from trying to smile and not look like a witch.

5. And on the rare occasion your facial expressions show how happy you are, your friends think you are going crazy.

6. Each of your friends has said "I thought you were so mean when I first met you" at some point.

7. Then they follow that by saying "you are just hard to read."

8. So naturally if people do not know you they just assume you are a snob.

9. And when you are actually mad, your facial expressions are horrifying.

10. In the end you always look like you are judging people, when in reality people are ALWAYS judging you.
