I think all ‘90s kids remember the Rugrats, I mean, how could we forget? The toddlers constantly going on different adventures, they would be getting into all different kind of situations. Not only did we live vicariously through the Rugrats as kids but now looking back as a senior in college, the Rugrats did have valuable life lessons throughout their shows.
Some life lessons you can take from the Rugrats:
1. Have confidence in yourself.
Believe it or not, it is not considered cocky to feel confident in yourself.
2. Becoming successful takes time.
You don't just wake up in the morning with your dream job, money or praise – unless you’re a Kardashian.
3. Relationships aren't always easy.
Growing up we learn that relationships take time and effort. They can't be one-sided.
4. You can love who you want to love.
Times are changing, people should get on board.
5. Siblings are a blessing.
You may hate them sometimes, but at the end of the day you couldn't live without them.
6. Animals are a part of your family too.
Who else would eat my vegetables when my parents weren’t looking? My brother certainly wouldn't.
7. Do not throw away paperwork, until you know it will not be useful.
I wish I had a dollar for all the times I have dug in the trash looking for an assignment I thought was no longer needed.
8.Sometimes a hug from a loved one can cure anything.
Hugs can make your darkest days a little bit better.
9. Don't get your hopes up.
Just because it worked in the movies, doesn’t mean it will work out in real-life.
10. Always know your good side.
Knowing your perfect angle makes all the difference.
11. It's always good to vent.
Sometimes you need to just let everything out, so what if it’s to an inanimate object?
12. If you don't vent, you'll explode.
Sometimes you snap, it happens.
13. It's important to have some "me" time.
Nothing better than laying by the pool all day or binge watching your favorite show on the couch.
