Oh, middle school, as much as you don't want to admit it...you loved it! Whether it was the dreaded swim class you had to take or the modified sports team you were a part of, your middle school years were some of the most enjoyable ones! The best part of your middle school years? The awful clothing that we thought was acceptable to wear. Let's take a stroll down memory lane.

1. Boobie Bracelets

You either stole one from your friend or bought one from Journey's, but nothing was cooler than walking around with the word "Boobie" on your wrist! Plus the proceeds went to Breast Cancer Research.

2. Puffy Painted T-Shirts

You and your friend group were especially cool if your custom made the T-shirts broadcast all of your inside jokes that nobody else understood.

3. Sofee Shorts

They were probably rolled up to a ridiculously short length and the school nurse most likely sent you home at least once because of them!

4. Gaucho Pants

Before yoga pants, there were gauchos because looking like a Mexican cowboy was very stylish.

5. Butt-Branding

We all wanted pretty much any pants with any words across the butt! Especially if they were velour Juicy Couture track pants.

6. Juicy Couture Anything

Speaking of velour Juicy sweatpants, nothing said high fashion like a whole Juicy outfit!

7. Fake Chanel

Whether it was the huge "Chanel" tote or the classic double "c" studded earring.

8. Being "Goth Or Emo"

Yes, because pretending to be deep and have emotional problems was awesome! You probably loved Spencer's and Hot Topic, and Paramore was your go-to band!

9. Skateboarding Shoes

You didn't skate or have any interest in skateboarding, but you loved the over-sized chunky sneakers the skate shoes. DC's, Osiris and Etnies, all totally cool and well worth the money too.

10. Logo T-shirts From Hollister, Aero and Abercombie

Especially Abercrombie!

11. Surfer Chic Brands/Attire

You used to beg your parents to take you to PacSun just to buy your insanely over priced Roxy hoodies and you probably had no clue who Roxy was or what the brand stood for.

12. Tiny Shoulder Bags

You could probably fit your Motorola Razr and a pen in it, but it was cute!

13. Colorful Polos

For those that weren't too fond of the Goth look! A staple piece for a middle school prep. Don't forget the Puka shell necklace.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
