13 Great Lines From Well-Known Authors

Literature plays a large role in school and in growth, especially if you're a book kid. Here are 13 of my favorite quotes from novels that I've read.

2. "We need never be ashamed of our tears." -Charles Dickens

3. "Sometimes we get sad about things and we don't tell other people that we are sad about them. We like to keep it a secret. Or sometimes, we are sad but we really don't know why we are sad, so we say we aren't sad but we really are." --Mark Haddon

4. "And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." -F. Scott Fitzgerald

5. "As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once." -John Green

6. "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go..." -Dr. Seuss

7. "Do I love you? My God, if your love were a grain of sand, mine would be a universe of beaches." --William Goldman

8. "We've all go both light and dark inside us. What matter is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are." -J.K. Rowling

9. "In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart." -Anne Frank

10. "My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." -William Goldman

11. "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." -Margaret Mitchell

12. "Stay golden, pony boy." - S.E. Hinton

13. "Always." -J.K. Rowling

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
