Going through Nursing School is probably one of the most difficult curriculums out of them all, but at the same time allows for one of the most rewarding careers to go into. All these GIFs accurately describe my feelings, and I have all of these different kinds of emotions at least twice a day. While it is a lot to handle, Nursing is one of the most rewarding careers that exist in the modern world. It also gives you the opportunity to meet other friends who are also nursing majors.
1. Nursing majors about 95% of the time? Stressed out.
Half of the time you can't even formulate words!
2. Wanting to throw something at someone, and you have no idea why...
You just... can't even.
3. Two words: emotional eating...
And emotional singing... It is a very emotional time.
4. All you want to do when you are in class or at Clinical...
One word: sleep.
5. Having your fellow victims-—I mean nursing major friends (just kidding!)—be there for you.
You will all become really close... Really close.
6. Going to class in your pajamas because you are too tired to look nice...
(Happens about 5 days a week)
7. Those days when you remember an assignment you didn't do...
(Hyperventilation could actually occur)
8. When you start to question why you chose the nursing major...
And when you suddenly became emotional and stressed all the time.
9. How you feel when you do well on an assignment and you weren't expecting it.
(Probably one of the best feelings in the world.)
10. How you feel when you are in class talking about something nasty...
Sputum, vomit, stool, you know... The usual class discussion topics.
11. How you feel when a patient at clinical is so sweet, and all you want to do is give them a hug.
12. When you are sitting with all of your nursing major friends, and make a nursing joke... That literally no one else would find funny.
"Tried to go a day without talking about bowels... Failed."
13. When you realize how rewarding your career will be...
And that makes all of the ups and downs of nursing school totally and completely worth it.
