October is in full swing and with October comes pumpkin picking, pumpkin spice lattes and apple cider donuts to just name a few. The fall month is full of fall flavors and colors. It also gets us excited for things to come and when you think October you think Halloween.
As much as we love leaves falling and cooler weather, we love Halloween so much more. Nothing is better than halloween candy and how could you forget those halloween movies. For some maybe Halloween is just hocus locus, but for others it's the best time of the year.
This week just kicked off the week we all wait for if you're a Halloween lover, 13 Nights of Halloween. Freeform(as previously known as ABC Family) has brought back the 13 nights of fright to fill all of our halloween favorites. The list for the next 13 days is full of classics like "The Adams Family", but has newer additions like "ParaNorman". Old or new we love them all. Here are the 13th best Halloween movies old or new.
1. "Hocus Pocus"
Sarah Jessica Parker kills it as an evil witch in this film taking place in one of the most Halloween-like towns of Salem.
2. "Halloweentown"
The Cromwell witches give you the halloween spirit in all four Halloweentown movies.
3. "Phantom of The Megaplex"
One of the best Halloween movies Disney Channel ever made.
4. "The Addams Family"
The creepiest, most entertaining family you'll ever meet.
5. "The Nightmare Before Christmas"
Tim Burton's classic movie is the official start of the holiday season.
6. "The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This 1975 classic is coming back in it's own live remake this year.
7. "Teen Witch"
"Never going to be the same again..."
8. "Beetlejuice"
Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice.
9. "Practical Magic"
Hollywood royalty Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman make magic look a whole lot better.
10. "Sleepy Hollow"
Before visiting Sleepy Hollow in New York watch this version of the legend first.
11. "Corps Bride"
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp do it again in this animated film.
12. "Monster House"
These three kids save their town from a huge giving them hard in this film.
13. "Frankenweenie"
A dog, a boy and a movie you'll want to watch after Halloween ends.
These movies are all over this Halloween season. Most of these movies can be found during Freeform's 13 Nights of Halloween schedule. If they're not on TV this season you can find some of these on Netflix this fall.
