Warning: Spoiler Alert

Whether you are watching 'Grey's Anatomy' for the first time or the tenth time, it drags you through a multitude of emotions. Even if you know what is about to happen and which one of your favorite characters is about to die, it hurts just much the tenth time as it did the first. Even after 12 seasons of a roller coaster ride of emotions, dedicated fans still watch knowing that they are going to be continually dragged through this crazy ride. With season 13 about to premiere, these are just some of the emotions fans feel when watching and re-watching -- just to have our hearts ripped out again.

1. Excitement

Whether you're watching for the first time because you finally gave in and want to understand why your friends are so obsessed, or you're watching for the tenth time because you're a dedicated fan, watching 'Grey's Anatomy' is always exciting. Especially when you finally get to start a new season you've been waiting for.

2. Anticipation

Will we finally get the answers we've been waiting for? From the beginning, is Derek finally going to choose Meredith over Addison. To now, is Jo ever going to tell Alex the truth about who she really is?

3. Anxiety

Will they be able to get the patient to surgery in time? Will Derek be able remove a brain tumor? Will they be able to bring someone back from a flatline? How bad is it going to be when they open the ambulance doors? Every episode has something that keeps us on the edge of our seat, and most of the time, multiple things per episode.

4. Why Shonda?!

Yes, that is a real emotion when watching 'Grey's Anatomy.' Shonda Rhimes is constantly shocking us with what she does next. Between Meredith sticking her hand in someones body with a bomb in it, to a shooter in the hospital, to the plane crash, to George, Lexie, Mark and Derek, Why?! Just Why?!

5. Sadness

One of our favorite characters is gone, has cancer, just got their heartbroken or died. Things couldn't get any worse. We're over here hysterically crying, because of a character on a TV show, and the people around us just don't understand why we're so upset. When our favorite characters hurt, we hurt.

6. Denial

They're not gone, they can't be dead. They're going to come back. This was just a mean joke. OK, at least bring them back in ghost form. Please?

7. Anger

We're angry because our favorite character died, or a favorite couple just broke up for the fifth time, and things just aren't going the way we want them to for our favorite doctors. We just want to scream through the TV at them and/or Shonda. Will they ever be able to live happily ever after?

8. Happiness

With all the bad things that happen on the show, there is a lot of good too. When Mer and Der wrote their vows on a post it note, when they adopted Zola, and when Meredith told Derek she was pregnant. Dr. Bailey marrying the love of her life. Dr. Weber and Catherine finally getting married. We may only get to live these happy moments for a few minutes until something else shocking happens, but at least we get to be happy for our favorite characters for a second.

9. Sentimental

When Meredith and Cristina call each other their person. Meredith's life lessons at the end of each episode. When Meredith and Cristina dance it out one more time before Cristina moves. When Alex actually has feelings, no matter how deep down they might be. When Cristina tells Meredith that she is the sun, and we felt like she was talking to us women everywhere.

10. Hopeful

After everything they have been through at the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, if they still stand strong...we can be strong. If Alex can find love, so can we. After everything Meredith and Derek went through together, they still stayed happily in love -- that should give us hope.

11. Hopeless

Even when 'Grey's Anatomy' makes us feel hopeful, it then turns right back around and makes us feel hopeless. Our favorite characters dying, Cristina moving and leaving Meredith behind, patients that we get so connected to for just an episode or two dying, and Jackson and April losing their baby. I just want everyone to get to be happy, so I can be happy!

12. Emotionally drained

These show drains us of all of our emotions. After binge watching episodes, you sob, you laugh, you scream, you're shocked, you smile and you go through every emotion imaginable. By the end, there are no emotions left to have. You're exhausted. We continue to do it to ourselves though, because we love our favorite doctors and have to continue watching no matter what kind of roller coaster Shonda puts us on.

13. Acceptance

By the end, you've accepted a lot of things. You've accepted that you're addicted and you can't stop watching. You've accepted that your favorite beloved characters are never coming back. You've accepted you're never going to be as smart as Lexie or as witty as Cristina. You've accepted you're never going to get to marry one of the hot doctors or have a MerDer love. We just accept these things, and continue watching with our box of tissues and ice cream. We've accepted the roller coaster ride that we are on and aren't getting off anytime soon.

Fans are now getting mentally prepared for season 13. We're ready to continue our emotional roller coaster, Shonda! I have my box of tissues ready, because who knows what you're going to throw at me this season.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
