13 Disney Songs That Perfectly Describe Going Back To School

"When life gets rough, I like to hold on to my dream of relaxing in the summer sun, just lettin' off steam." We agree, Olaf, but it's August and that means reeling in the summer fun and cashing it in for textbooks and long, studious days and nights. Have no fear, though, because Disney has tunes for every occasion, and these hand-picked bops are perfect for getting back in the groove of school.

1. "In Summer" (Frozen)

Let's be honest here and admit that Olaf was living the picture perfect summer. No work. All relaxation. In his head, at least.

2. "Bring Honor to Us All" (Mulan)

I can't be the only one that imagines their family singing this to them at the beginning of the year.

3. "Be Our Guest" (Beauty and the Beast)

You're finally ridding yourself of the end-of-summer blues, and you're greeted with this from your school!

4. "Hakuna Matata" (The Lion King)

Possibly the best part going back to school is being reunited with your friends, and this song captures that essence perfectly.

5. "Bare Necessities" (The Jungle Book)

There's nothing like starting the new school year with, well, the bare necessities. Or is that just me?

6. "Whistle While You Work" (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs)

Syllabus week comes and goes and BAM! You find yourself swamped with work. But what better to pass the time than a little live entertainment?

7. "Poor Unfortunate Souls" (The Little Mermaid)

Every professor's favorite song as they assign their classes endless homework.

8. "Reflection" (Mulan)

Am I in the right major? Is there more I could be doing? We all turn inside and reflect at some point during the semester.

9. "In a World of My Own" (Alice in Wonderland)

If you're anything like me, you sometimes end up in your own world when you're stressed. And that's okay.

10. "For the First Time in Forever" (Frozen)

For the first time in forever, you're finally getting adjusted to a set schedule! (RIP summer, you will be missed.)

11. "Go The Distance" (Hercules)

"This is it!!! I'm going to rock this semester!" I tell myself as I rely on Hercules for motivation.

12. "Almost There" (Princess and the Frog)

The title says it all (as does the gif). Hard work pays off, and if there's anything students are good at, it's persevering (even if it means crashing once you're done).

13. "A Whole New World" (Aladdin)

Okay, so I know this is supposed to be a love song, but the title alone granted it its position on this list. It's literally a whole new world once you're accustomed to your new schedule, professors, and course load.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
