Long ago were the days of great TV programming for children, including the two best networks: Nickelodeon and Disney Channel. While these two channels still exist, they are not nearly the quality they used to be. What was also probably the highlight of everyone's week was the Disney Channel original movies, aka the best movies you could see as a kid. Everyone remembers "High School Musical" and "Camp Rock," but there were plenty of others. Here are 13 movies you may have forgotten about:
"Brink"
This was always one of my favorites. Who could resist watching the Soul Skaters compete against the X-Bladz?
"Cadet Kelly"
This movie actually made military school look fun.
"Don't Look Under The Bed"
This movie completely terrified me as a kid, and it probably still would.
"The Even Stevens Movie"
Hands down one of the best Disney Channel movies. It was so clever and hilarious.
"Get A Clue"
This movie made me want to be a high school detective because they made it seem so easy.
"Gotta Kick It Up"
Who else remembers this saying, and only from this movie?
"Halloweentown" ("Halloweentown II," "Halloweentown High," "Return To Halloweentown")
One of the best sagas to appear on Disney Channel, and it was always acceptable to watch these movies not around Halloween time.
"Jumping Ship"
This is technically the second movie to Horse Sense, but I never liked the first one. Jumping Ship was always better.
"Phantom Of The Megaplex"
This movie made me want to either work at a movie theater or also be a detective.
"Smart House"
If this wasn't your favorite scene, then did you even watch the movie?
"The Luck Of The Irish"
Always a favorite among people, for many reasons, but I think we can all agree that Seamus was very creepy.
"Tiger Cruise"
I was always amazed at how Disney Channel was able to pull off a movie about 9/11, and actually make it a good movie. I cry every time.
"Zenon: Girl Of The 21st Century" ("Zenon: The Zequel," "Zenon: Z3")
Also one of the best Disney Channel sagas. We all loved Proto Zoa the best.
This is just a start to all of the Disney Channel original movies, but this is good enough to get you feeling nostalgic. Let's not forget a few other favorites: "Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire," "Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off" and "Stuck In The Suburbs."
