Counting Down Disney's Top 13 Animated Movies, And 'Frozen' ISN'T One Of Them

In This Article:

Disney movies made up my childhood. They have always been my favorite thing. To this day, I am as Disney obsessed as ever, and one of my favorite pastimes is watching Disney movies with my friends and singing along. Some stand out among the rest, and this is my list of the thirteen best animated Disney movies ever made (because I couldn't narrow it down to 10).

13. 'Brother Bear'

Giphy

I extended my list just to include this one because I love it so much.

12. 'Inside Out'

Giphy

SO UNDERRATED. This movie is so cute and such a great concept. Go watch it if you haven't.

11. 'Beauty and the Beast'

A classic, and an all time favorite.

10. 'Winnie the Pooh'

Giphy

Not entirely Disney, but Disney did a beautiful job bringing these wholesome stories to life. My children will have a Winnie the Pooh themed nursery for sure.

9. 'Peter Pan'

Giphy

My absolute favorite for most of my life. Meeting Peter Pan in Disney World was a dream come true.

8. 'The Princess and the Frog'

Giphy

This movie is criminally underrated. It deserves so much more attention than it got.

7. 'Big Hero 6'

Giphy

Honestly, Baymax is the reason why I love this movie so much. Not that it doesn't have a great story, because it does, but Baymax is the highlight of the movie.

6. 'Lilo and Stitch'

Giphy

Another classic, and even better now that I'm older and can understand everything that's going on.

5. 'Monsters, Inc.'

Giphy

I want my little girl to look like Boo. I can guarantee that she is going to be dressed up as Boo for Halloween one year. This movie is so silly and heartwarming and I love it.

4. 'Moana'

Giphy

My family and I can agree that I am Moana. I relate to her more than I relate to most other Disney characters. This is one of the newest animated Disney movies, so the animation is absolutely beautiful.

3. 'Up'

Giphy

I adore this movie. Everything about it. My boyfriend and I dressed up as Carl and Ellie for Halloween last year and it was super cute.

2. 'Aladdin'

Giphy

The reason this movie being so high on my list is Robin Williams as The Genie. Aside from that, the entire movie is so fun. I loved it as a kid, I loved it a few years ago, and I love it now. The soundtrack is so catchy. I'm not super excited about the remake, but fingers crossed it turns out better than I think it will.

1. 'Tangled'

Giphy

I'll admit, it was a fight for the top spot, and it hurt a little to leave some off the list. However, that won't stop me from saying that Tangled is the best Disney animated movie. The animation is beautiful, the soundtrack is flawless and actually advanced the plot line, the sidekicks are so lovable and actually play a part, and the character development is so good. I even got a tattoo related to Tangled, so you could say I like it a little bit.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
