13 Things You Know If You Attended High School In Jersey

Oh, New Jersey. The Garden State. Home of "Jersey Shore" and "The Sopranos." New Jersey frequently gets a bad reputation, but to those who attended high school here, you simply block out the haters and keep driving.

1. The drive to school was rough, but you did it anyway.

You might not have wanted to have to deal with the insane amounts of traffic and the notorious New Jersey drivers, but you loved the drive anyway.

2. Your school served pork roll for lunch most days.

Whether pork roll or Taylor Ham, it was always there if and when you needed it.

3. You never knew whether to cheer for Philly teams or New York teams.

Yes, Philly always lost, but E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!

4. You and your friends would spend hours at Wawa.

You could also do this in Pennsylvania, but you always knew it was hoagies.

5. You could either go shopping at the mall, the other mall, or the other mall.

Or the shopping center.

6. You know the difference, and can discuss, North, South, and Central Jersey.

It's like mini New York, mini Philly, and the best area of New Jersey.

7. You know so many people with houses on the Jersey Shore.

Whether LBI, Bay Head, Ocean City, or one of many others, you knew them all, whether you had a house there or not.

8.Your high school was probably very good at lacrosse and rowing.

Typical East Coast things.

9. New Jersey Transit is confusing, but you love it anyway.

Probably taken on a day trip to New York.

10. Everyone wanted to go to Princeton.

Or if you didn't, you always felt the pressure to visit.

11.You know bagels, since you probably ate them for every meal

Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, those carb rings are heavenly.

12. You probably had your prom in either Philadelphia or New York.

Or at the Adventure Aquarium on the Camden Waterfront!

13. Going to the diner was a great way to catch up with friends.

You got a milkshake, fries, and talked the night away.

Central New Jersey is one of the best and most unknown parts of New Jersey, and you loved spending your teenage years here.
