Christmas has passed and now we're heading into the downward spiral of wanting winter and the cold to be over but there are so many events and things to do still. What are these "fun" things and events you ask? Well if you live in the Twin Cities area look no further, I am here to cure your boredom!!!! Here a list of some adventures, activities, or festivals you can attend so still stay in the holiday spirit.

1. Go to Rice Park

Rice Park is located in downtown St.Paul near the Xcel Energy Center. It's absolutely stunning at night when all the trees light up and you can go ice skating in the rink located right across from the park.

2. Ice skating at the Depot

The depot is located in downtown Minneapolis. You can either rent skates their or bring your own for a special discount!

3. Minnehaha Falls

Go check out the falls located on the outskirts of downtown Minneapolis! If the fall is completely frozen and you're able to go behind it, it's the perfect Instagram!

4. Tubing at Buck Hill

Buck Hill may not be located in the Twin Cities but it's pretty dang close. Buck Hill is in Burnsville and besides having great slopes to ski and snowboard, they have tubing!! Super super super fun alternative if you don't know how to ski or snowboard (i.e. ME)

5. Crashed Ice

Crashed Ice isn't until February 2-3 of 2017 but it's still something to look forward to!

6. Polar Plunge

Grab some of your friends and jump in a freezing lake in Minneapolis on March 3-4!!!

7. Go to a Wild game

Head on down to the Xcel to cheer on our Minnesota Wild hockey team!!!!

8. Saint Paul Winter Carnival

Enjoy the Saint Paul Winter Carnival from January 26th through Feb. 5th and check out all of their fun activities and the super cool ice castle.

9. Ordway Theater

Go see "White Christmas" the musical at the Ordway Theater located in Saint Paul by the Xcel!

10. Ice skating at Centennial Park

Another place to ice skate!!! Head on down to Centennial Park in Edina to show off your stellar moves (;

11. U.S. Pond Hockey Championship

When living in the state of hockey, these kind of event get you just a little bit excited....January 27-29 folks!

12. Minnesota State Hockey Tournament

This is SOOOOOOO far away but it's something to look forward to right?! The Minnesota high school hockey state tournament will be held in March. But who doesn't love the tourney, ehhh?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.
