12 Weird Things That Happen In Long Term Relationships

Everyone goes through that "honeymoon stage" at the beginning of a relationship. During this stage you put your best self forward. You're polite, you're clean, and you never fight. But what happens after you've been together for a while? Well, things start to get really weird.

1. The inside jokes are endless.

"Do you remember that time the guy with the piano did that thing?"

2. You have no problem talking about disgusting things.

You've come to accept the fact that you are both human and that you both have gross bodily functions. You now have absolutely no problem discussing said bodily functions.

3. You fight over the most ridiculous things.

I think that all couples have fought about where to eat at least a million times, but that's just the beginning. You'll also fight about stupid things like how to fold clothes the proper way and how to make the bed. They're not just silly fights, either. You legitimately get mad at each other, but it never lasts for very long and soon you're back to your normal selves.

4. You make crazy plans for your future.

You make overly ambitious plans for your future together, like rescuing all of the stray animals and building them a sanctuary where they will all get along and live happily ever after.

5. You don't need to go to fancy dinners to have a great night.

You're perfectly happy staying in and watching funny cat videos all night in your pajamas while eating a Domino's pizza. In fact, you actually prefer that over going out.

6. Everyone assumes that you're always with each other.

You're together so often that you can't even go to a single family gathering alone without at least ten relatives asking where your significant other is. We do have separate lives. You know that, right?

7. Looks don't matter anymore.

If you don't feel like brushing your hair today, that's no problem. You can even walk around in your favorite pair of tattered pajamas without a second thought. The two of you are way beyond giving a crap about what you look like in front of each other.

8. You have no boundaries.

You just let it all out.

9. You know exactly how to annoy each other.

You know exactly what to say/do to in order to piss each other off and you do it quite often because it's just so much fun.

10. You actually finish each others' sentences.

It's kind of creepy sometimes.

11. Their "cute" little habits aren't so adorable anymore, but you love them anyway.

That habit that you thought was oh-so-adorable in the beginning isn't so cute anymore when you have to live with it on a daily basis, but you learn to accept it and love it anyway.

12. You finally come to terms with the fact that you're both extremely weird.

You're both weirdos and you know it, but at least you can be weirdos together.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
