May is here which means summer is right around the corner. Classes are ending and finals are approaching--the end of the semester is in sight! Summer is notorious for being a time of relaxation after a long year of school. However, don't spend each day binge watching your favorite Netflix original. Get out, have fun, and don't waste your summer!

1. Get a part time job.

A little extra cash never hurt anybody. Start saving for your next semester of college!

2. Have adventure days.

Don't work your summer away! Make sure you have fun some days! Gather your friends to try a new restaurant, go on a hike, visit a local attraction, shop at Target or just try something new with your friends.

3. Plan a beach trip.

What's a summer without a beach trip? Plan a weekend to go down to the shore with family or friends.

4. Join a gym or go to work out classes.

Have you tried yoga or Zumba? Get in shape for bathing suit season!

5. Wake up before 10:30!

Don't waste your days by sleeping through half of them.

6. Job-shadow

Shadow someone in your field of interest for a few days.

7. Start an internship.

Find an internship in your field of interest! Get experience and build up your resume!

8. Reorganize

Find yourself bored in a messy room one day? Reorganize and give your room the deep clean it needs. Or reorganize your college things to prepare for next semester. Or get rid of clothes that you don't wear anymore.

9. Go to a concert.

If you can, go see a summer concert. Outdoor summer concerts are the best kind!

10. Read a book.

Rekindle your childhood love for reading. Pick up that book you have been passing by for months.

11. Okay, maybe watch that Netflix show you have been dying to see.

Just don't spend each day in front of your computer.

12. Enjoy each day!

Stop and enjoy the atmosphere of summer time!
