12 Ways Joey Tribbiani Was a Mid-Spring Semester College Student

All students can relate to the mid-semester feeling of misery. Assignments begin to pile up, work becomes overbearing, club activities seem non-stop and we all begin to slowly lose motivation for almost everything. Spring break comes as a small moment of relief, teasing us with the pleasure of no responsibilities and relaxation. The mid-semester drag might be rough fall semester, but it becomes even worse during the spring, especially when warmer weather starts to poke its head back into our lives and summer vacation creeps closer and closer with every paper we write and tear we shed.

Soon enough, we find ourselves pursuing different methods to make the pain more tolerable and to distract ourselves from the never-ending workload. Picking up a yoga class might help, as might taking an extra nap during the week or even taking a hike through nature. No matter what coping method you use, one thing is certain: Joey Tribbiani from "Friends" is one of the few people who can relate to us in nearly any situation.

The lovable character from the popular show is a college student in many ways - broke, always hungry, slightly naive, thirsty for love and most of all, full of energy. Joey's sweet disposition, in more ways than one, is the perfect example of the way the majority of students feel by the time the middle of spring semester rolls around: tired, ready for change and broke.

1. Relaxing on spring break like:

2. Coming back to school and realizing how much you need to do.

3. When you and your friends are all out of money and are willing to eat anything that's under $10.

4. When you are willing to do anything for money.

5. When you "accidentally" miss your 8 a.m. for the third time.

6. When professors start to talk about preparing for finals.

7. When you and your friend manage to finish one assignment.

8. Trying to motivate your friends when they start to lose hope.

9. When professors schedule homework over the weekend.

10. When trying to look nice for class is no longer an option so you do the best you can to be somewhat presentable.

11. Coming to terms with your freshman 15.

12. When you still manage to pull the semester off with good grades.

Thank you Joey, for truly always understanding.

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
