Having curly hair definitely has its pains and its gains. You can love your hair one day, and hate it the next. Your hair can be beautiful one day, and a complete mess on another.

Here are 12 facts that all curly haired girls go through.

1. You once hated your hair

It’s frizzy, big, and can look like anything when you wake up in the morning.

2. You envied straight hair

You see the other girls your age having to pay little to no attention to their “perfect”, straight, hair.

3. You thought the flat iron would solve every problem

In the end, you probably only ended up burning your hair, and getting split ends.

4. You wash your hair only when needed

Because your hair can be such a pain to wash, you wait to wash it only when necessary.

5. You use up your conditioner way faster than the shampoo

People use a lot of conditioner as it is. But with needing to keep your curls hydrated, you use gallons of that stuff.

6. Every hair-do is a surprise

You are never certain how your hair will turn out. Everyday you wake -up, it could be different, and every time you mess with it it could look great or horrible.

7. You have to spend a lot of time to make your hair look decent

A simple pony tail might take about fifteen minutes to get right. So when anyone says your hair looks great today, all you can think about is all the time it took for you to leave the house.

8. You know, people don’t know what they are talking about when they say, “I wish I had your hair”

Uh, no honey, not really.

9. When you actually get your hair right, it looks beautiful

Curly hair is actually beautiful when it obeys you. When the weather is good and the frizz in your hair is tamed, you can definitely rock your curls.

10. You do not like people touching your hair

Curly hair can be sensitive, and frizz up if not handled properly, therefore, your mom, friend, and boyfriend know that if they did anything like touch your hair, you just might have a seizure.

11. Sometimes people just touch your hair

Sometimes people you do not know well (or don’t know better) start to randomly treat you like a petting zoo. Yes, curly hair looks interesting, but please do not touch.

12. Curly hair makes any hair style look unique

Curls add an extra twist to any hair-do. Therefore, every “simple” hair style looks extra cute.

So, though sometimes it can be a pain, at the end of the day curly hair is beautiful, and you gotta love it.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
