Even though “The Office” has been over for three years, it’s still one of the best television shows in history. With hysterical dialogue, beloved characters, and timeless relationships, it depicts an office lifestyle in a way that makes us laugh and reminds us of our own jobs. One character is a standout in representing the way we feel about work most of the time, and that character is Stanley Hudson. So here’s a list of times when Stanley Hudson was probably your workplace spirit animal.

1. When he had a heart attack and had to learn meditation.

We’ve all thought at one point that work would be the death of us. For poor Stanley, it almost was. When he comes back with a heart monitor and has to practice keeping calm, he’s not exactly successful.

2. When he couldn’t dribble a basketball.

He literally embodies my athletic performance during team events.

3. When he tricks Jim into giving him meatballs.

Who knew that Stanley was actually the pranking master of the office? Jim tries everything in his arsenal to make Stanley laugh, so he uses it to his advantage to get some free lunch.

4. On Pretzel Day.

What does an ideal day at work look like? The kind of day that comes with free food.

5. When he tried to lose weight.

Everyone was trying to lose weight for a week of extra vacation days, but Stanley was in it for himself, not caring when the team did poorly because he had lost seven pounds. And when they lose game at the end, he decides to take an extra week of vacation anyway.

6. “Shove it up your butt.”

Quotes such as “Well you take the first letter of each name, assign it a number, add 'em all up, and shove it up your butt!” and “It might be easier if you take a deep breath, lift from the knees, and shove it up your butt!” are truly the most elaborate way anyone has expressed their apathy in the workplace.

7. When Dwight drugged him.

And then later, when he drugged himself to avoid climbing the stairs.

8. When he rushed out the door at exactly 5:00.

When it comes to going the extra mile, Stanley isn’t even willing to go the extra minute.

9. When everyone started doing crazy things to get his attention, and failed.

Poor Stanley doesn’t have any interest in the people or drama that’s going around him. He’s just there to do his job so he can go home.

10. When he had no patience for Michael's injury.

11. When he transformed into Florida Stanley.

Ah yes, this guy knows how to live. Whether it’s hitting on random girls from the safety of his rented Mustang, drinking in company meetings, or rocking an island outfit, Stanley embodies everything we love about vacation.

12. “Did I Stutter?”

While I don’t condone calling your boss a professional idiot, you’ve got to admire Stanley for being the one person who says what we’re all thinking sometimes.

April Ludgate

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
