Growing up as a 90s kid, watching "Spongebob Squarepants" on television was a must. I would watch it after a long day of school, before bed and on the weekends. The show was comical, interesting and somewhat relatable, but I never realized how much in common I would have with the show now that I’ve grown up and gone off to college. Being a college student comes with many struggles, but so does being a fish in Bikini Bottom.

1. A lot of homework leads to late nights and little to no sleep. Sometimes you ask yourself why you are even here.

2. But getting that grade back feels oh so good.

3. Or not.

4. There is so much to do, but you have so little time to get it all done.

5. At times, you have no idea what is going on in your classes and you again question why you are even in college.

6. You miss your pets more than you thought you would.

7. You then have to admit to yourself that you miss your parents a lot, too.

8. You never turn the offer down when you finally get the chance to go out and get normal food.

9. But you’re so broke that going out to eat rarely happens.

10. You take naps as often as you can.

11. On the plus side, you get to spend every day and night with your best friends.

12. No matter how old we get, we are always a kid at heart.
