Well it is that time of the year when all it seems to be doing is raining. We are out for the summer but stuck inside because the rain just will not stop. There are many thoughts that goes through everyone’s head when we get cooped up inside. Thoughts that start from dang when can I get out to maybe I will just go play in the rain.

1. Finally. It has not rained in a while, it is about time it rains. These burn bans are not fun in the summer when we want to shot fireworks off, especially on the 4th of July. Plus it is hot so a nice cool down will be nice. I mean just cool down to about 80 and we will be good. 100 in Texas is not fun.

2. So I spoke too soon. When is it going to stop? I do not think it will ever end. It has been raining for days I feel like. A few days is long enough.

3. Why is this happening?! Seriously, why? It has been raining for several days. I think the plants are more than fine now. I may like falling asleep to the sound of rain but I am just annoyed now.

4. Everything is wet. I am too short and all the puddles are drenching my pants. My shoes are soaked along with my socks. I cannot even do anything with my hair. I just want it to stop.

5. It is summer! I just want to be out on the lake or at the pool having fun. Catching all the sun rays. Enjoying my summer but instead I have to sit and stare outside.

6. Should I just sell my car and buy a boat at this point? When I do get out I have to avoid all the roads. They are all flooded and I have a feeling I will be soon calling for help. Plus I did want to go to the lake and be on a boat anyways.

7. Is this the end of the world? Did someone build an ark and not tell us? If so, where was our warning? God, I do not know what you are doing but please do not wash out humanity again.

8. My hair is not okay. My hair becomes wet, with no blow-dryer to contain it. It is in directions I did not think my hair could actually settle. This rain really needs to stop.

9. Maybe I can just go float the river at the park. Just go buy me a tube and i will float away since I cannot go enjoy floating the river that was on my summer bucket list.

10. Will I get drenched sprinting out to my car? Yes, probably. But I just want to eat so is it really worth it? An umbrella just does not work at this point. Maybe a huge towel.

11. Why did I park next to a puddle? I hope that somewhere in me I can jump 5 feet and not land in it. Nope, there go my shoes and socks. Yay.

12. But really. When is this going to end?! I just want the sun back!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
