1. He'll never like me back.

Fact: Unless a guy tells a girl he likes her back and she has to learn to fall for him, girls just do not allow themselves to believe the guy they like could actually like them back until it is confirmed as 100 percent truth.

2. Everything he does is pure perfection.

From the way he walks to the way he talks, from his laugh to his jokes, to his attentive listening, and memorizing stories. You could sit in his presence forever and just be amazed.

3. I could talk to him forever.

And never get bored. Ever. Never, ever, ever.

4. I need to talk to my BFF, ASAP.

Whenever something hilarious, exciting, great or horrible happens, all you want to do is spill your guts to your best friend. Ever

yone needs a good listener in their life.

5. Be cool, be cool, be cool.

OK, you have realized that he is way out of your league. Your next task is to act as cool as possible. The last thing you want to do is embarrass yourself in front of your future guy. But let's be honest, it's just inevitable.

6. Be patient, be patient, be patient.

Every second you wait for the guy to notice you feels like five years. It seems as if the day he finally starts to like you, the way you like him will never come. But once that day comes, it will feel like that time just flew by.

7. Attempting to read him is near impossible.

Beyond just words, reading his body language seems to be an impossible task. Does he agree? Does he disagree? Was that look out of annoyance or ignorance? Am I reading into things or was that a signal for something?

8. What did he mean by that?

Because it is so impossible to read him, you'll find yourself asking the question "what did he mean by that?" always and often. He probably meant nothing, but he may have meant everything. Who really knows.

9. I'm excited, but I'm so scared.

Because what's not to be excited about when the potential of a new relationship arises. But with so many unanswered questions, fear comes sweeping in quickly.

10. OK, I'm getting obsessed.

He's been on your mind for the past 72 hours. You know there's an issue, but you just cannot seem to confront it and get your mind on something other than him. Boys can so easily become all-consuming.

11. Everything on my "list" isn't even necessary anymore.

That list you wrote in your journal five years ago requiring your future husband to be a blond-haired, blue-eyed beauty is thrown out the window once you meet the dark-haired, dark-eyed man of your dreams.

12. He is hilarious.

No sense of humor needed. If a girl likes a guy, it pretty much means everything he says and does from there on out is funny in some shape or form.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
