12 Thoughts College Students Have About Their Dogs

One of the hardest parts of going away to college is not having your dogs by your side. While you don't get to see your furry BFFS everyday, they're always in your heart and on your mind.

1. I wonder how many more photos of my dog I can fit on my wall. My phone's home screen isn't enough.

2. Petition to have Pets' Weekend instead of Parents' Weekend.

3. Are they getting enough hugs?

4. I wonder if my dog can be my roommate next year.

5. Maybe I should get them an iPhone, they can Facetime.

6. No more videos about Jenna Marbles' dogs tonight... Okay one more!

7. Are they going for walks?

8. Maybe I need to send them a care package...

9. What if they forget who I am?

10. I hope they're not eating my shoes.

11. My parents really need to get one of those 24/7 pet cameras.

12. I can't wait to see them when I get home!

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
