12 Things Your Parents Do To Embarrass You

5. Trying to hang with you and your friends

Parents will do anything to embarrass their kids. Sometimes its on accident but most of the time, they know what they're doing.

1.Cheering too loudly at your sporting events

There's nothing wrong with cheering at your games, but doing so too loudly or unnecessarily standing up or making a fool of themselves is not what you want to see. It's even worse when you're older and your friends start making fun of you because of it.

2.Singing today's music

You'll be in the car listening to the radio and one of the newest hits comes on. You look over and your mom is trying to sing along. Or you have your friends over and your parents start singing a song they have no idea what the lyrics are and your friends kinda just stare at them like they have two heads.

3.Dancing

It's like they lose all of their dancing skills when they become a parent and adopt one dance move that they are known for doing. Once you learn what said dance move is, you never want to be seen dancing with them again.

4.Not dressing age-appropriately

This one almost not their fault. Sometimes parents get stuck in a decade of their life and never develop any other style. Or they dress like they're a modern 20 year- old and no one tells them how wrong it is.

5.Trying to hang with you and your friends

Again when your friends come over and your parents linger and try to make conversation like "How do you guys like the new Bieber song". Your friends look at them like they're crazy and you have to kindly tell them to leave.

6. Asking if they're embarrassing you in a REALLY loud and annoying way

When they have no idea how loud and obnoxious they're being so you either give them a look like "please stop" or just tell them that they're embarrassing you. They not only listen to you, but they get louder and louder, asking "Are you still embarrassed" or "Why are you embarrassed"

7.Complaining at a restaurant

It's like they purposely order something they know that is going to be terrible just to complain about it. This especially happens when you're Italian and they order an Italian dish they know that will never compare to the way they make it at home.

8. Reprimanding you in front of your friends

Most friends think it's hilarious when their friend is getting told- off by one of their parents. I have personally been a victim to my parents while my friends are over and I would like to say that it is neither funny nor helpful. It's always for the most stupid things also- like if you didn't clean the dishwasher out or that they don't like that shirt on you.

9.When they tell your friends the stories from your childhood

I have also personally fallen victim from this. They're not the kind of cutesy stories that make anyone go "aww that's adorable". They're the stories that turn your face red and make you hide your face in your palms. They never make you forget the stories and you always seem to accidentally somehow remind them to bring it up by you saying something.

10.Their Facebook activity

This means when your parents comment on your photos or the things you share. It also means when they upload the least flattering pictures of you on special occasions like your birthday and all your friends and their friends get to see it. Wonderful.

11.Making your family wear matching items

When you go on a family trip and you're forced to wear the shirts your parents ordered because they were "cute", "they were a for a good deal", or "it's a memory you'll have of this trip" but it's cheesy and the color is ugly. The item is also never something subtle like sunglasses. It always has to be over the top and highly noticeable.

12. Going up to a cute boy/ girl you have been eyeing.

Have you ever seen someone cute and you just can't stop looking at them and your mom or dad keep telling you to talk to them but you're too afraid. Then all of a sudden they go up to them and tell them whatever. You're watching from a distance and your mom/dad is pointing at you and the person kinda just laughs at whatever they're saying. Sometimes they ask if they would take a picture with you and of course the person says yes. That is such a mortifying moment and it usually happens when we're not looking our best.

Even though we may be so embarrassed of them a lot of the time, but we still love them. As we get older the embarrassed red faces turn into smiles and the groans turn into laughs and sooner or later we'll be the ones to embarrass our kids.

The first two weeks of classes have come to an end and they have been anything BUT easy. It seems like life has been serving up more bad than good and in all honesty, the only thing you want to do is crawl under your covers and hide from the rest of the world.

Although this seems like the best solution, it is also the easy way out. Take it from the girl who took basically a whole week off from her life because she just could not handle everything that was being thrown at her. This caused her to feel extremely lonely and even more stressed out for being behind in classes that JUST began.

Brooke Davis

"She was fiercely independent, Brooke Davis. Brilliant, and beautiful, and brave. In two years she had grown more than anyone I had ever known. Brooke Davis is going to change the world someday, and I'm not sure she even knows it." - Lucas Scott, An Unkindness of Ravens

Brooke Davis of the hit show One Tree Hill was the it girl - she had it all, or so we thought. She started out as a stuck-up, shallow, spoiled, head cheerleader who didn't have her life together. She slept around a lot and loved to party - sounds like your typical high school teenager right? Wrong. B. Davis had so much more to offer. Caring, loyal, and outspoken, she has taught us some valuable lessons throughout the 9 seasons that OTH was on the air:
