Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, coming in second only to Christmas. What could be better than being surrounded by family, comfort food, football, and changing leaves?

I'll tell you what's not better- the endless remarks my relatives will make about my life. Here are some examples of the commentary, as well as my responses:

1. "Do you have a boyfriend yet?"

2. "How's your GPA looking?"

3. "What do you think you'll do with your degree?"

4. "Wait, when are you graduating?"

5. "Are you sure there's not a boy in the picture yet?"

6. "Who did you vote for?"

7. "Are you going to eat all of that?"

8. "*insert cousin's name* has a 4.0 and a job lined up already."

9. "Please leave some food for the rest of us."

10. "I see the Freshman 15 got you."

11. "So you're single... still?"

12. "That's your third plate of macaroni and cheese."

We Heart It

Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
