12 Things to Love About Springtime
Best Amazing Places On Earth

Winter can leave many people feeling drained and down, but spring often serves as the season that restores motivation lost during the winter months. When winter comes to an end, many people are ecstatic to see snow melt off the roads and sidewalks. Rain replaces the snow, and sunshine shows through the clouds a little more each day until summer finally rolls around. Spring must be appreciated in its entirety before summer can be adequately adored! There are so many awesome things to love about the spring season – here's a list of the top 12!

1. The rain begins to replace snow.

It may be rainy during spring, but at least it's not snowing! The little things in spring must be appreciated, whether it be jumping in puddles or the smell of the sidewalk after it has just rained.

2. Exercising outdoors!

Having to exercise indoors all winter long can be a real bummer, but nothing feels better than exercising outside after a long winter of hitting the gym, or even worse, being cooped up all day unable to enjoy any nice weather.

3. Seeing flowers pop up everywhere!

Spring is the perfect time to start a garden and everyone feels a little happier seeing flowers in bloom!

4. Bonfires with friends.

Nothing beats sitting up all night having a bonfire with friends. It's about the little things - the s'mores, good times and all the laughs.

5.Hitting the beach for the first time since last year.

The first trip to the beach since the previous year is a magical thing. The beach is a wonderful place to relax and relieve stress.

6. Shorts, sandals and flip flops.

Slipping into sandals and shorts for the first time after lugging around winter boots and thick clothes all winter is one of the best feelings.

7. Fresh fruits and veggies to indulge in.

Springtime means that many awesome fruits and veggies are in newly in season. This makes it easier to eat fresher and healthier than before! The spring season can also boost motivation.

8. Getting outdoors!

Whether it be hiking or simply just studying outdoors, being outside after a long, dull winter is an amazing feeling.

9. Swimming for the first time since last season.

The first dip in the water is something that everyone can look forward to when spring rolls around.

10. There's more time in the day to enjoy life!

Days get longer and brighter, leaving extra daylight for whatever it is you do that makes you happiest.

11. School is almost out and finals are almost done!

This is definitely something all teachers and students look forward to. Students and teachers alike have summer to look forward to and spring is the home stretch! Spring means that finals are right around the corner, and then summer will be here before you know it!

12. Summer is coming.

Perhaps the best part about springtime is the fact that summer is close by!

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
