School is officially over and summer is finally here. Going back home for the summer means trying to find new things to do and not sitting in the house all day watching Netflix. I know living in central Ohio it feels like there's nothing to do and it's so boring. However, here is a list of actually really fun things to get out and do this summer:

1. Visit the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

If you have never been to the Columbus Zoo you need to! It's so big and has so many amazing things. It's a must do this summer.

2. Go to Zoombezi Bay.

For those super hot summer days, go to Zoombezi Bay and cool down. The water park is also attached to the Columbus Zoo so you could see both in one day or make two trips.

3. Visit the Columbus Museum of Art.

This summer you should really check out the Columbus Museum of Art. It has a lot of art to view and so nice to walk around.

4. Go shopping at Easton Town Center.

Easton Town Center has so many shops to check out. There's also restaurants and movie theater if you don't feel like shopping. It's so beautiful and definitely worth the trip.

5. Visit COSI.

COSI will be a fun trip with younger kids in your life or even just your friends. This could be a great rainy day trip.

6. The Ohio State Fair.

Go out and visit the Ohio State Fair July 26 - August 6 2017.

7. Go camping at Mohican Adventures.

Head out to Mohican Adventures to go camping or basically any campground and enjoy time with your family or friends. Nothing beats sitting around the camp fire.

8. Visit Hocking Hills.

Visit Hocking Hills and go hiking, stay in a cabin and just enjoy nature.

9. Red White & Boom!

For Fourth of July this summer, go see Red White & Boom on July 3! The fireworks display are a must see.

10. Go to Shadow Box Live!

Go visit Shadow Box Live and see a show this summer!

11. Go eat and explore North Market.

North Market is a public market that is a must see to go and get food at.

12. Visit the Franklin Park Conservatory.

The Franklin Park Conservatory is the perfect place to explore indoor and outdoor gardens, exhibition, artwork and so much more. This is an adventure to take this summer.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
