Yes, I'm excited winter break is almost here. That said, there's things I'll miss while I'm home, such as:

1. The warm weather

I'll take palm trees and an ocean breeze over a blizzard any day.

2. Having routine days of going out with friends

Everyone knows the get their sh*t together before all designated nights out.

3. All my friend's living within a 10-mile radius

Easily the best part of college.

4. Eating Fresh Kitchen at least once a week

Or seven days a week, which ever.

5. Taco Tuesday's at the Green Lemon

RIP to our favorite mid-week stress reliever. Until next year, Margaronas.

6. Catching a Lightning game on the weekend for $20

Ballin' on a college budget.

7. Dollar Beers

The most chaotic, blurred, inexpensive night out imagined.

8. MacDinton's Happy Hour

Followed by a pie to the face thanks to how dangerously close the bar is to New York New York Pizza

9. Farmer's Market Sunday's

The only place you'll eat a chicken and waffles sandwich with a side of Oreo popcorn washed down by a wine slushie for breakfast and not even think twice about it.

10. Family dinners with your roommates

Because family dinners back home aren't as irrational as these.

11. The Plethora of Food Trucks

Special shoutout to Riddle on The Griddle - you've changed my life.

12. Buddy Brew

The only coffee strong enough to get us going.

Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone
Youtube

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
