12 Things Everyone Needs in the Fall

With fall approaching it is no secret that some of our favorite fall trends and activities will be coming back around. Everyone's list is a little different but it is safe to say we all share a few necessities for the fall time.

1. A comfy sweater

(Pintrest.com)

None one likes to get ready up the fall and everyone wants to be warm. A huge comfy sweater is the best thing to spend chilly fall days in. It will keep you warm and comfortable with little effort. Not to mention how cute they look.

2. A flannel

(Tumblr.com)

INVEST! These can be worn so many different ways and they keep you warm. It' easy to throw on and honestly...who doesn't love a good flannel?

3. Scarf

(Tumblr.com)

A big scarf is the way to go. I don't know about you but I get cold in the fall and scarves are my best friend especially since I have short hair and need to keep my neck warm.

4. Combat boots

(Tumblr.com)

Lets be real here, I don't honestly have a reason other than they look super adorable with the three things I have listed above and they are great for the rainy, muddy, and leave cover fall ground.

5. A good book or series

(Favim.com)

I will admit that until this fall I have not read the Harry Potter books but I have seen the movies. I thought it was time to change that. That's my series for this fall but find a book or series that is perfect for you to cuddle up with on those cold mornings.

6. A warm drink

(Tumblr.com)

I am not a coffee fan I am more of a tea drinker myself, don't get me wrong I do love PSLs though just like any other teenage girl. My fall tea of choice is something warm and soothing like a Chai or in the mornings an Irish Breakfast which usually has a stronger taste.

7. A playlist

(Pintrest.com)

Most of us have a Spotify I am sure, or something similar. Take some time and put together a playlist for the season and don't be afraid to throw in some halloween songs even though October is only ONE of the fall months. Kalyn Nicholson has a playlist titled "crisp leaves & lattes" I strongly suggest you check out!

8. A movie list

(Tumblr.com)

You can find these online like crazy but write down your favorite fall or halloween movies and watch them with friends, family, your cat, or alone. P.s. if Halloween Town and Hocus Pocus don't make your top two I don't know if we can be friends.

9. Pumpkins

(Tumblr.com)

Carve them. Paint them. Have them around the house. You need them. Period.

10. Candles

(Picturetip.com)

Bath and Body Works probably has the best fall candles but any fall candle works. I prefer Leaves, Pumpkin Cupcake, Mahogany and Teakwood, and Applewood Bonfire.

11. Cinnamon Sticks

(Tumblr.com)

They just make every room smell so warm. Boil them in a pot of water on the stove to make your house smell like it or invest in a cinnamon broom like I did.

12. Apples and Apple Cider

(Tumblr.com)

I am NOT talking about the ones you get from the store. Nope. Go to an apple orchard and get fresh apple cider and fresh picked apples. You will thank me.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
