Everyone's who's ever worked in fast food knows that the front counter is the only thing separating you from a virtual wasteland. It's every man for himself out there, and we'll do whatever we have to in order to get back to that counter as soon as possible. It's not that we love the counter, it's just that the alternative is so much worse.
For those of you that don't understand this hell, here are 17 things ever fast food worker has experienced out in the dining room.
1. Children, just EVERYWHERE.
2. Seeing a customer with uncomfortable amounts of sauce.
3. Accidentally making eye contact with someone right as they stuff a whole sandwich in their mouth.
4. Avoiding rogue soccer moms who're cruising for a refund.
5. Randomly stepping in something sticky.
6. Seeing customers leave Wall-e levels of trash just on their table.
7. Discovering long lost nuggets underneath booths.
8. Not being able to find the person who's food you're supposed to deliver.
9. Unnecessary shouting. I'm looking at you again, soccer moms.
10. Finding out that someone has pooped in the playground and hiding from your manager so you don't have to clean it.
11. Kids getting all up in the playground even though you closed it.
12. Dropping three whole trays of food.
13. When you start cleaning and realize you forgot the wet floor sign right as a old lady shuffles by.
14. Walking past the door and glimpsing the outside world.
15. Suffering those people who need a few decades to decide if they want a refill.
16. Having a customer tell you the dining room isn't clean enough and realizing you're capable of murder.
17. Finally making it back to the refuge of the counter and being sent right back out there.
