Yes, I'm dating a musician and it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Whenever I ask, he's always willing to play or sing something for me. Even if he doesn't know the song, he tries his best, and you know what? It's incredible. It's incredible to listen to him fiddle around on the guitar or sing a few notes of my favorite song.

It's said that musicians have unique, sensitive brains. I don't know if all musicians in the world are sensitive or not, but I know one thing, they're super talented! They're charming, handsome and each have their own unique styles. And why wouldn't you want to date someone with such incredible attributes? The lucky ones, like me, know how incredible it is to date a musician. Here's a few things you'll enjoy in this wild, musical adventure we call love.

You learn more about music than you ever thought possible.

Ever wish you knew about extremely obscure bands? Date a musician. They are your live jukebox. Ask them to play or sing something, and they never hesitate! And you know they love to show off their skills for you!

Spotify becomes your best friend.

How would you know half the music he's talking about if not for Spotify?

You’re always listening to them play.

Best. Thing. Ever. They could play the ABC’s and I’d consider it a hit.

You wish you could play an instrument.

Whenever my boyfriend plays his guitar, I curse my parents for never putting me in music lessons. Watching him play makes me want to learn my own instrument and now I've got my own personal teacher!

Singing in the car is so much more interesting.

You think you’re good at singing a song until he starts singing along and then Lord have mercy!

They have super patience powers.

They can concentrate on one piece of music for hours until that segment is perfect. With concentration comes patience. My boyfriend is one of the most patient people I've ever met and I guarantee music has played a role in that.

You will spend hours in music shops.

Half of you will love seeing him geek out about his passion and the other half of you will want to bang your head against the very, very, very expensive amp sitting next to you on the floor.

He picks up every tune that he hears.

Video games. Commercials. Movies. You name it, and he’ll pick out the tune.

He’s always whistling, humming or singing.

Always. Every song, every tune. Everything will get whistled, hummed or sung to the point where you also get it stuck in your head.

Guitar picks.

Guitar picks are everywhere. They are the equivalent to girl’s bobby pins. They’re worse than glitter. You think you get rid of one until you turn around and you swear they’ve multiplied.

His music makes you fall in love even more.

You didn't think it was possible, but every time you hear him play you fall even harder for him.

You get to be his biggest fan.

You get to cheer him on at every practice, every gig and every living room session. You get to hear him practice that song for weeks and weeks until finally the final product is performed! Seeing how much work he puts into it and seeing it pay off, is just as rewarding for you as it is for him.I love supporting him as his number one fan!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
