If you were born between March 17th and March 23rd, then congrats! You're a Pisces-Aries cusp. Known as the Cusp of Rebirth, the vast differences between the two signs make Pisces-Aries the yin and yang of the zodiac. Let me, a fellow "Pisaries," let you in on what we emotional yet hardheaded folks are all about. I'm guessing you can relate...

1. You're both a dreamer and a doer.

While you have those aloof, daydreamy Pisces tendencies, you're also impulsive and hardheaded like an Aries. You are someone who has a wild imagination with the talent and ambition to back it up. In other words, you get sh*t done.

2. You're great at reading people.

Intuition comes naturally to Pisces-Aries cusps. You are keen to ~vibes~ and are quick realize if people around you have ulterior motives. People may think they have you fooled, but THEY. ARE. WRONG.

3. You're extremely sensitive.

You tend to take everything a little personally and are heartbroken when you let others down, or worse -- you let yourself down. Your sensitivity also makes you handle the emotions of others carefully, as you hate offending people.

4. You're highly creative.

You have BIG ideas and a fully thought-out vision behind everything that you do. You're artistic and love collaborating with others... that is, as long as they like your ideas.

5. You crave instant gratification.

You think that all of your ideas deserve to be recognized and praised, so when that doesn't happen, your Aries temper starts to rear its ugly, horned head. Not receiving instant gratification can unfortunately lead you to get discouraged, and sometimes causes you to completely lose interest in your creative endeavors.

6. You tend to overanalyze things.

Overanalyzing interactions if what you do best. You often make something out of nothing only to stress yourself out so much that you end up crying on the floor and FaceTiming your dog. Not speaking from experience or anything.

7. You're always there to comfort those in need.

Given your generally worried and sympathetic nature, you make a very caring and loyal friend. You're always there when someone needs to talk, laugh, or just wants a hug.

8. You're moody as all hell.

Indecisiveness + a quick temper = YOU. You're so emotionally confused that you often find yourself wanting two completely opposing things at the same time. And that pisses you off EVEN MORE.

9. You're passionate in romantic relationships, but also fear commitment.

You love passion! You've got all the dreamy, hopeless romantic Pisces-ness swashed together with your fiery Arian love-hunger! This makes you quite the saucy yet fickle partner. While you may care for someone very much, you still constantly question your relationship because of your need to constantly feel independent and free. However, you actually have the inclination to become emotionally dependent in relationships, which REALLY pisses you off.

10. You like to help others reach their full potential.

You love seeing others succeed -- especially when you helped them along the way. Your entrepreneurial nature runs deep, and building your network and forming connections with people gets you going like nothing else! You always love making things happen, whether it's for yourself or for others.

11. You have the potential to be a great leader.

Your Aries qualities make you a strong, fearless leader. Your Pisces qualities make you a kind and empathetic one. Mix those together and you're pretty goddamn unstoppable.

12. And lastly, you kind of feel like an Avatar.

"I can bend water ANDfire? Bitch, I'm Korra."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
