It's finally fall, one of the best times of year! Holidays are coming up which means family and good food. As a child, I didn't cherish the fall season like I do now, but I wish I had. Everything feels so much more cozier between September and November. Here are some of the things that are true fall staples. It wouldn't be considered fall without them!

1. Pumpkin Spice Latte

This is probably one of the most basic things about fall, but there's no denying that it's a seasonal favorite.

2. Halloween

Ever since we were kids, Halloween has been a huge part of fall. The only thing that sucks about growing up is not being able to Trick-or-Treat anymore.

3. Fall Fashion

From flannels to bulky knit sweaters, not only is fall fashion cuter, but it's a lot cozier too.

4. Football

There's nothing better than Sunday night football.

5. The Leaves

There's something so satisfying seeing the leaves change colors, especially when driving through the mountains. It's quite the view.

6. Pumpkin Patches

Once all rolls around again, we are all guaranteed to see every girl's basic picture in a pumpkin patch on Instagram, but besides that, pumpkin patches have corn mazes and hayrides which all can be considered a cute date.

7. Thanksgiving

One of the best parts of Thanksgiving is the food, but also it brings the entire family together.

8. Fall Scented Candles

Maybe this isn't for everyone, but lighting a candle so that your room or house smells like fall is so comforting.

9. Pumpkin Flavored Everything

Ever since the PSL came out, almost anything you can think of can now be found in pumpkin flavor. Cereals, cakes, and even granola bars are now pumpkin flavored.

10. Apple Picking

The best apples come straight from the orchard when you pick them yourself. This is something that is quite fun, especially doing it with family

11. The Weather

It's not hot and it's not too cold, but there's also something about the way the air smells that is so reassuring.

12. 'Free Form's 13 Nights of Halloween'

This is probably the most classic thing about fall. ABC Family plays all the classics like Halloweentown and Hocus Pocus. Grab your popcorn and snuggle up on the couch because it's that time of year again.

I could list so many more things that are the best about this season, but these are the most basic ones that I think everyone enjoys.

Happy Fall everyone!

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
