If you're like me, Target is the go-to store for all of your needs. From clothes to food; you can find about anything in one convenient location. I don't know what it is about Target, but something about the store makes it just so fun to go to. I don't know about you, but I always fall victim to this vicious cycle of behavior every time I take a trip to Target.
1. Making a list of things you need to buy.
2. Telling yourself over and over again how you are there to buy the things on the list and nothing but the list.
3. Making a quick stop at the Starbucks in the store.
4. Getting distracted by the "dollar" section.
5. Start filling up your basket with cute holiday decorations from the "dollar" section.
6. Making your way through your normal path through the store.
7. Checking out the clothes and shoe section to see if they have anything new.
8. Noticing things are on sale that you never knew you needed.
9. Your basket is getting a little heavy so you upgrade to a cart.
10. The pain you feel when the cashier tells you your total.
11. Convincing yourself that it's OK that you deviated from your list.
12. Telling yourself that you will be more focused next time.
13. Repeat.
Like I said before, there is something about entering a Target store that makes all of my self-control fade away, but I will gladly hand over my money willingly every time.
