Ever go to a bar or a party and hear a song you completely forgot you loved? Me too. And lately it’s been happening a lot more often, so I decided to compile a list of a few songs that used to make me jam out, but that I forgot I knew every single word to… Road trip playlist? I think yes.
1. Enrique Iglesias: Hero
I have vivid memories of belitng the lyrics in the car, "I will be your hero baby. I will kiss away the pain. I WILL STAND BY YOU, FOREVER. I can be.... you heroooo..." Talk about romance.
2. Daniel Powter: Bad Day
Throwback to American Idol, and all the times I used to listen to this song when I was having a "bad day." Thanks, Daniel, for being there.
3. The Calling: Wherever You Will Go
Creepy or romantic? I'll let you pick. Not gonna lie though, this song used to make me swoon.
4. Eiffel 65: Blue (Da Ba Dee)
I don't even think I need to explain this one. You just know.
5. Nelly Furtado: I'm Like A Bird
I may or may not attribute my free-spirited personality development to this song.
6. All American Rejects: It Ends Tonight
I have to admit... When I came across this song for the article's sake, I may have saved it for later so I can put it on repeat.
7. Natalie Imbruglia: Torn
A personal fav that helped me realize life can pretty much suck sometimes.
8. Owl City: Fireflies
We all know this song made no sense but that never stopped us from screaming the lyrics from the tops of our lungs.
9. Nickelback: How You Remind Me
Please refrain from your "Nickelback sucks" remarks because you'd be a dirty liar if you said you never jammed out to this song.
10. Hoobastank: The Reason
The song that gave girls the idea to change bad boys into good guys.
11. Edwin McCain: I'll Be
I shamelessly still have this song on a few of my playlists and listen to it regularly.
12. Hinder: Lips Of An Angel
Why does a song about cheating have to be so romantic and catchy? Damn you Hinder.
Feeling the nostalgia yet? Throw these into a playlist and play it with all your friends in the car, and see how many people can recite all the words. Happy listening!
