From late night studying from that strenuous finals week to long car rides home from your college or university, you have been blasting music non-stop and it has been one of the most constant things in your life right now. With summer coming up you need to have that perfect playlist whether it's for your commute to your summer job, for a flight or for relaxing by the pool or beach. If you can not tell from her album cover, this song has summer written all over it! "Lush Life" is the definition of summer fun, from the pop/techno beat to the lyrics of our basic summer romances we encounter! She hit the nail on the head with "Lush Life"! This Swedish pop star knows how to set the mood of any occasion.

This song has been a non-stop play on my I pod, and I hope once you hear it, the experience will be the same for you. This reggae vibe sets you instantly into vacation mode, and the lyrics make you a ride or die for you man (even if you are single like me, you still sing the song as if you have a man.) Lemonade is pretty refreshing... the drink, but also this entire album as well! So whether you are by the pool drinking lemonade, by the pool listening to lemonade or all of the above, it is a good song to get you started into the summer state of mind.

If you have not herd this song already, you know a pair up like this will be dynamite! Whether you are taken, single or just even playing the field, this song hits deep with the hook "Space was just a word made up by someone who's afraid to get too...close". Although it's summer and you are not necessarily feeling this way right now, this song takes you back to all of your past "loves" and ex's and lets you realize they may have not been right or good enough for you. This song will get you onto the dance floor in a heartbeat and dancing in your car all night long. Although we did not expect new music anytime soon from this Australian icon (due to her engagement to NBA baller Nick Young) we are so happy she did release something! This catchy club single will be perfect as a pregame song to get you a your girls or "team" ready to have a great summer night out!

8. Gold - Kiiara

Although this techy pop single had its debut in 2015, Kiiara's debut EP, low kii savage, was released in March of 2016 and is bringing fame to this popular hit which is the first song on her album (I mean "Gold" belongs at the top right?) You may not know what the heck is being said in the background of the song, but halfway through the song, you wont even care because of how catchy the beat is! This is a definite NEED a flight or lounging by the pool.

7. Me, Myself & I - G-Eazy & Bebe Rexha

This single for the summer anthem will have you screaming the lyrics on that road trip you awaited to take all year long with your friends. This combination of pop and rap is the perfect duo to want to embrace your singleness all summer long. It's 2016, enjoy your free time with your friends and family and definitely listening to this track.

6. Roses - The Chainsmokers & ROZES

This song has summer 2016 written all over it! From the instrumental to the escape lyrics and vibe, this song is THE SONG for almost any occasion. Although I may be a bit bias from attending high school with ROZES herself, surely made a name that everyone knows now! This beach vibe is perfect for a day at the beach or just a car ride with friends.

5. Love Is The Name - Sofia Carson

Although she may be on Disney Channel, do not doubt the voice of Sofia Carson quite yet! "The Descendants" star is now making a scene for herself with her first single "Love Is The Name." This poppy upbeat tempo is a song you just want to dance around to, that puts you in an immediate good mood. Check out the video to see what this upcoming star is all about.

I know you're thinking this song comes on the radio all the (Fill in the blank) time! But if you were a Posner fan like me, he tells you a bit about what he did while he was not making music, and yes the story is more than just taking a pill in Ibiza. This song is a perfect wind down to a good day. Whether you are traveling to Ibiza or not, this is a good song if you're traveling outside of the states this year.

3. T-Shirt - Thomas Rhett

I bet you wish you were wearing Thomas Rhett's T-Shirt. This laid back country artist produced an amazing album that has nothing laid back about it. Whether you are creeping through Rhett's Instagram with pictures of he and wife or imagining you and your significant other, This song is perfect for plane rides and drives heading back home from your destination. Thomas Rhett is always a good start or end to your day. (In my opinion)

2. No - Meghan Trainor

If this song is not already on your playlist, then it needs to be! Your favorite word for the summer will be NO! Trainor is known for pumping out her girl power anthems, but I'm not sure if any of her fans were expecting this one!

Sia has taken the world by storm this year, so it's only right she can take over your playlist. "Cheep Thrills" I believe will be the summer anthem! The lyrics cant describe our generations lives any better "Baby, I don't need dollar bills to have fun tonight". We have become creative over the years to make our own fun and definitely on a budget 9/10 times. This Bollywood theme instrumental will have you thinking you're in India every time you play this summer anthem!
