12 Snacks We Loved In The ‘90s

Nothing says the 1990s like boy bands and Wonderballs.

The 1990s were a time of crazy boy band fans, sitcoms and "interesting" fashion to say the least. But arguably the best part of being a kid in the 1990s were the SNACKS!!

Yes, the lunchtime snacks were the best part of growing up in the '90s. So, lets take a trip back to our childhood and remember some of our personal favs.

1. Dunkaroos

Graham crackers that you can dip in a tiny tub of frosting... what? Best snack EVER.

2. Gushers

The actual perfect lunchbox snack. Enough said.

3. Fruit Rollups

The best were the ones that had tattoos on them, because we all know fruit snack tongue tattoos are as badass as a 7-year-old can get.

4. Push Pops

I always liked the idea that I could've put my push pop in my purse and save it for later, that is if little me carried a purse. The only downside is that once you licked it once, the candy became almost permanently suctioned to the inside of the tube. You win some, you lose some.

5. Dino Egg Oatmeal

Every kid who had to eat bland oatmeal was probably jealous when you came to school talking about your science experiment you had for breakfast.

6. Baby Bottle Pops

Looking back now, they were probably so awkward to eat, but who cares they were DELICIOUS.

7. Bubble Tape

Who cares that this gum pretty much tasted like cardboard? Not the '90s kids, and honestly it was so fun today I'd still eat it today.

8. Spongebob Cheese Nips

Somehow, making them shaped like characters from Bikini Bottom made these fake flavored snacks taste 10 times better.

9. Scooby Doo Fruit Snacks

I always seemed to get the most of Velma and not enough of Daphne, but that's besides the point.

10. Kudos

Arguably the best "granola" bar ever created, and probably the unhealthiest. But when you get to have chocolate drizzle and M&Ms on top of your granola, you tend to overlook the calorie count.

11. Capri Sun

Even though this is a drink and not technically a "snack", you were a cool kid if you got to drink one of these at recess and so we have to include it as a tribute to our coolness.

12. Wonderballs

What could be better than a delicious chocolate ball with candies AND a sticker on the inside, themed with our favorite cartoon characters? Whoever created these deserves an award.

Not every trip down memory lane makes you as hungry as this one does. So, get on google and figure out where you can score yourself one of these sick blasts from the past! And don't forget to comment you favorite 1990s snack below.

College is a crazy, beautiful, amazing whirlwind. It is highly popularized in television and movies, but not necessarily in the most accurate way. Yes, there's frats, dingy dorms, raging house parties—but there's also a lot that people fail to mention.

1. If you thought that you knew how to study, you're wrong.

All of your classes aren't taught every day, so professors aren't on your case constantly about reading and memorizing material. Once you get back that "questionable" first exam grade, you'll kick it into high gear and figure out what works for you

Girl With Bleached Hair
Tumblr

I've been a bleach blonde for over a year now, and let me tell you, it is a lifestyle. More hair appointments, longer showers, and special shampoo. But it is totally worth it!

1. Mentally preparing yourself to convince your hair dresser that white is the way to go.

2. Or the anxiety of what could go wrong by bleaching your hair at home.

3. You could either become a ginger

4. Or a pixie

5. The face you make in the mirror when you take off your towel to unveil the perfect white strands.

6. Taking a million selfies the day you bleached it, because you know your roots will be back in literally 2 days.

7. Having to get bangs or a big chop because your hair is so damaged.

8. Having orange highlights in between touch-ups.

9. Going out for a drink afterwards to debut your updated look.

Despite the struggles, you love your platinum blonde hair! You make sure Instagram knows it, too. You don't need a filter, because the color is flawless by itself!

I've been at this college thing for almost three and a half years, and while I thought that high school was truly the lowest point of my existence, I'm beginning to realize that it was a walk in the park. Like, I miss the days when the biggest white lie I told my parents was my made up excuse about being late for fourth period. These days, the white lies are a tad more complex, and as ashamed as I am to admit it, I've definitely told a few of these.
