Most girls are usually one or the other — they're either girly or they're tomboys. Then you have the rare breed of girls who are a happy mix of both. They are the girls who can rock dresses and heels and also feel just as good in sweats or shorts. They are the girls who understand how to put makeup on properly and like to have a fresh manicure, but they aren't scared to get down and dirty. It's all a balancing act. For those of girls who are just like me, the ones who like shopping and football equally, this list is for you.

1. Food is your best friend

Who doesn't love food? The difference here though is that while most people wouldn't order a burger or a steak sandwich on a first date, you're not afraid to eat what you want. If he really wants to be with you, he will love you, messy eating and all. You can also get really bitchy when you haven't eaten in a few hours.

2. You live in comfortable clothes

Sweatpants and a t-shirt are life. You prefer comfort over style, which makes your normal outfit choices easy. Just throw on a pair of sweatpants, jeans or shorts and a t-shirt and you're all ready to go.

3. But you also like to dress up

While you love to be comfortable, you also feel just as good in a dress and heels. You like to look classy sometimes, especially when you're going out. While your focus is still on what's comfortable to you, you know how to look classy and be comfortable at the same time.

4. You can sit down and watch football with the guys

You actually enjoy watching football. You live for Super Bowl Sunday and you have no problem watching football with your boyfriend, brother or dad. You understand how to game works and can sometimes explain it better than some guys.

5. You can fish, hunt and get down and dirty

You may be girly sometimes, but you know how to shoot a gun, cast a line and drive a four-wheeler. You're not afraid to get dirty, you're not afraid to wear boot and trek through the mud and you enjoy hunting and fishing.

6. You're happy just the way you are

You may not know if you're going to be girly or tomboyish today, but you know that whatever you pick, it will be what makes you happy. You've embraced who you are and you're not going to change who you are for anyone.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
