Let's just be real here for a minute…food is man's best friend. It’s there for you on a good day, on a bad day, after a bad date, after a good date that you were just too nervous to eat on so you find yourself wolfing it down as soon as you enter your apartment. Food is a conversation starter and can save you from a horrible conversation. Long story short, food is and always will be there for you, so why wouldn’t anyone spend all their free time thinking about it? Here is a list of signs that show if you are a true foodie or not.

1. You find yourself waking up in the middle of the night to check food Instagram accounts.

Replaying over and over the 15-second video of the chocolate sauce dripping over the chocolate ball melting it instantly.

2. On the days that you miss lunch, you call your friends to have them describe in detail what they ate that day.

“And so what spread did you put on that sandwich,” as you find yourself drooling over your own phone

3. You cherish every single bite of a late night food runs.

What are the choices here…OK, we all know you’re going to find yourself at In-N-Out getting that double-double. You’re a growing girl and you need your food.

4. Thoughts of what you are going to eat the second you get up put you into a deep sleep.

Sweet, sweet dreams of a breakfast burrito filed with bacon, cheese and salsa is the best alarm clock anyone could ever wakeup to.

5. You constantly tag your friends in tasty food videos.

Every time you scroll down your newsfeed it’s just like one giant tease. Everything looks so damn good and too easy to make.

6. You are extremely passionate about your favorite foods and you will defend your choices until you die.

7. You have never been called a picky eater in your life.

Not once.

8. You have a very hard time dealing with picky eaters and whenever you are out with them at a public restaurant.

You can’t help but find yourself eye rolling as they tear apart the menu.

9. Whether you are hungry or not you are always down to eat.

“Anyone else want to grab dinner,” “ I mean I just ate, but then again I could eat again. What’s two dinners right?”

10. Thanksgiving is your favorite day of the year.

And anytime there is an opportunity to get carved turkey or mashed potatoes with a side of cranberry you jump on it so fast…no one hasn’t even gotten up from their seats yet.

11. But then again you can’t deny your love for Christmas and Easter.

Christmas means holiday ham concluded by a selection of your favorite Christmas cookies. And then Easter always means an insane amount of candy for breakfast followed by and extensive brunch at the grandparents club aka tables on tables of dessert holllaaa!

12. All of the paid advertisements on your newsfeed are of food.

Clearly Google is catching on to something.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads.
