You can spot a Michigander from a mile away. They are quirky, fun and overall different. Michiganders are proud to call "The Mitten" home and will let you know it!
1. You learned the five Great Lakes by using H.O.M.E.S.

Faygo is a favorite and instead of drinking ginger ale, we drink Vernor's.

You also can get a good laugh in whenever someone slaughters the name of one of these towns.
5. Although you are a Michigander you may also be a Yooper.
Yoopers are not like the rest of us, they are their own kind! That being said, if you are from Michigan, you know what a Yooper is.
6. You have most likely play Eucher.
This is a card game that your family has probably taught you.
7. You go "Up North" in the summers.
Going to your cottage or lake house is one of the highlights of summers.
8. You have visited Mackinaw Island on a field trip, with your family, or for the summers.
This is the island of the world's best fudge, The Grand Hotel, horse drawn carriages, bikes and an Island filled of rich history and ghost.
9. You watch the sunset on Lake Michigan in the summers.
Everyone in the their small towns gather at the local beach to watch the sunset together.
10. You know what a coney dog is and where the best place to get one is.
Coney dogs and chili dogs are not the same thing.
