Downriver, Michigan! What a place to grow up. Located actually down the river, Urban Dictionary defines it as, "A select group of cities in Michigan, generally metropolitan Detroit. The cities are Taylor, Lincoln Park, Allen Park, Wyandotte, River Rouge, Melvindale, Ecorse, Woodhaven, Romulus, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, and Inkster." Let's not forget about our friends in Flat Rock, Southgate, Trenton, Riverview, Brownstown and Rockwood, either.

Here are a few things us downriver kids know:

1. Your idea of fun was driving around at night and stopping at local the Meijer

2. And going to Grosse Ile was typically on your route

3. Shopping at Southland Mall was pure torture because you were bound to see someone you knew

4. The local meet up place of choice on Sunday nights was the Taylor Sportsplex for open skate

5. A “rapper” was bound to go to your high school

6. Sonic on Fort St. was always poppin’

7. The high school rivalries were insane and very unnecessary

8. The ideal romantic date was walking by the river in Wyandotte

9. You were always jealous when driving through Woodhaven because the houses were really pretty

10. One word: LARPing

Particularly on Sunday afternoons in the park.

11. “Taylortucky” was a word you often used

12. Downriver isn’t a place, it’s a way of life

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
