You’re always together.
Because of the fact that you live together, it’s almost impossible to go more than a few hours without seeing each other… not that you’re complaining.
There is no judgement.
They’ve seen you at your best; they’ve seen you at your worst. They’ve seen you pig out at 3 a.m. on a Saturday night, waking up at noon on a Sunday, finishing an essay at midnight, and even when you’re on your third cup of coffee of the day. Needless to say, they’ve seen every side of you and love you regardless.
Nobody sugar coats anything; you dish out the cold hard truth.
If they think you’re being over-dramatic, annoying, lazy, judgmental, loud, obnoxious, irresponsible, etc., they’ll tell you without hesitation. Sometimes the truth hurts, but you appreciate it.
Parties are never awkward, mostly because you’re never alone.
You know you’ll never be that awkward girl in the corner, dancing by herself. Instead, you'll be the girl dancing like an idiot with her best friends.
Not seeing them for even a day feels weird.
You go through some serious withdrawals during breaks. You tend to spend each night facetiming.
You always have someone (or multiple friends) to accompany you to the grocery store, the gym, the dining hall, etc.
…and they’re bound to make the excursion much more exciting.
Everyone is always down for an adventure.
When you attend college in an old town surrounded by mountains, there’s always something different to do. Thankfully, having your friends around all the time means you always have someone to drag along when you feel like exploring the creek down the road or the woods behind campus.
Friday nights are never boring.
…neither are Saturday nights.
You’re always loud and obnoxious when you’re together.
…but as long as you’re all laughing, no one has a care in the world.
You guys may all be broke, but at least you're broke together.
You’re always there for each other, no matter what.
Even if it’s 2 am on a Tuesday night, you’re only a text (and either a bunk bed or approximately a 15 minute walk) away.
You know that, even when you've graduated, you'll always stay in touch.
