We are all part Gilmore.

As this whole "Gilmore Girls" revival is happening and getting huge, I am watching the show for the second time around just to be caught up before I start the revival. I have been seeing a lot of Gilmore Girls merchandise and popularity surrounding the topic. I saw this mug that said, "You're the Lane to my Rory," and I sent the link to my roommate since I am definitely the "Lane" in our friendship. We have been binge watching "Gilmore Girls" and I have decided that we were meant to be in that show based on our natural wit and connection to the characters.

I think everyone can see some of these characters in themselves. It doesn't matter if you've seen the show or not. This show is super relative to what we go through and it's funny. Who doesn't love that?

How do we know that we are mentally connected to Gilmore Girls characters? Well, here are a few instances that these fictional people are practically mirror images of us.

1. Your best friend knows you need coffee

Yes, Lane. First off, coffee is a lifesaver, especially if you've pulled an all-nighter to get the homework done for your 8 a.m. class. Also, my roommate and I have come to find out that a lot of the things we have in common revolve around food and drinks, coffee being the most prominent.

2. Because you just really love it

The coffee! It's so important that I had to include this picture of Rory crying because she loves it so much. Same, Rory, same.

3. And you can't really adult

So, adulting is no fun. There are constant complaints (mostly out of my mouth) about how I don't like having responsibilities. This is a really common complaint among college students and young adults.

4. You have major freak outs... a lot

Okay, okay. This one is totally me. I have freak-outs just about every minute of every day. This kind of conversation happens a lot between best friends.

5. You would rather eat junk food than exercise

And...

I'm all about the food at games, whereas, my roommate is the one I would be watching play. I'm not much of a sports fan, but I am a fan of food, especially junk food.

6. You are the master at sarcasm

To be honest, I am not very good at being sarcastic, but I do appreciate it and it's great fun.

7. Running just really isn't your thing

I remember a few months ago when my roommate was trying to train me to run a Turkey Trot and I was totally Rory. I felt like I was dying and I was exhausted, as most people are. Being skinny doesn't mean you're in shape and it's a hard fact to face.

8. You have a best friend who reminds your boy crazy self the truth

You tell 'em, Paris. My roomie and I exchanged this phrase a lot over the semester.

9. You just really love eating

Even though my roommate doesn't really like Mexican food, we both love food (as stated before) and this is pretty much how we feel when dinner rolls around.

10. You have that crazy conservative Christian friend or you are that crazy conservative Christian friend

Lane is pretty much every Christian ever.

11. You need coffee, you love coffee and you breathe coffee

Again, with the coffee. We've gotten addicted to it.

12. You're just awesome

In conclusion, we totally rock. Even though we go through slumps in school, in sports, in work, and in life, we still believe in ourselves and in each other.

The 5 Painfully True Stages Of Camping Out At The Library

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."
