12 Shows I've Watched on Netflix this Summer

I promise you, I've done more things this summer than watch Netflix. While people have gone on vacation, I've been home catching up on some of my favorite shows, in addition to working and writing articles for Oydssey. So if you are in need of some good shows to watch this fall, here is a list (in no particular order)...

1. Arrow

Okay... five seasons of Oliver Queen coming home to Star City after 5 years on an island ("Hell" as he would say.) The Arrow tries fighting crime with well known characters from D.C. Comics. 10/10 would recommend.

2. Flash

Another D.C. Comic. Barry Allen gets struck by lightning and tries to find his mother's killer. You just have to watch.

3. Supergirl

Sorry not sorry for another D.C. Comic show. Kara Danvers, otherwise known as Supergirl, is supposed to go to Earth to protect her cousin, Superman. However, her pod got knocked off course and arrives a few years later. Today, she is fighting crime in National City.

4. Riverdale

There is only one season of this show on Netflix, however they are creating another. For those who haven't watched, this show follows a group of high school students dealing with the recent murder of a popular classmate. They try to figure out who the real killer was, all while trying to pursue their own academic and extra curricular interests.

5. Grey's Anatomy

13 seasons of pure awesome sauce medical drama. The show, as most know, follows Meredith Grey through her intern years and then becoming an attending of general surgery. Filled with LOTS of drama, blood, and love.

6. Pretty Little Liars

Seven seasons of dark drama. I keep asking myself how I didn't watch this show earlier. Aria, Emily, Spencer, Ali, and Hanna try to figure out who "A" really is and what they want.

7. Baby Daddy

Six seasons, however they are 20 minute episodes. Okay, this show is complete opposite of the others. Ben realizes that he's a father when his ex-girlfriend drops their child off at his doorstep with no explanation. He, his friends, and family try to take care of Emma in the best way possible, with some humor on the side.

8. Young and Hungry

Five seasons, again 20 minute episodes. Coming from the same channel as Baby Daddy, a young food blogger, Gabi, gets hired to be a personal chef for millionaire, Josh. Creating a whirlwind of relationship problems and other interesting factors.

9. Vampire Diaries

I just started this show, there are eight seasons, meaning it'll keep me busy for a while. Anyways, Stefan (a Vampire) comes to town and finds a love interest in Elena. This series showcases their high school life, dealing with everyone's love interests, secrets, and other factors.

10. White Collar

Six seasons of Matt Bomer playing the infamous con-artist/art thief/bond forger, Neal Caffery working as a Criminal Informant for the FBI... need I say more?

11. Quantico

Two seasons of Alex Parrish and her colleagues working for the FBI. There's love interests, cases, and much more.

12. Criminal Minds

This show is the epitome of crime shows that was ever created. 12 seasons of amazing-ness.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.
